I still get this all the time. Any idea of a fix other than standing there dying until I can dodge again?

Match Making is so bad.

I can manage 1/1 about when I’m solo, but when I queue up with my girlfriend we win about 1/20. It pretty much makes us want to quit this game and find something else more fun to play. Not sure what you did this season, but it sucks.

I dislike them. They’re big, confusing, and just generally a pain to do stuff in. I doubt I’ll do anything other than eternal or edge ever again. Maybe in time I’ll like it more, but I doubt it. I hate the entire expansion with all the jumping, gliding, and tricks for getting around.

Computer freeze during green quest.

Twice in a row now my computer has locked up during the same step of a quest. During City of Hope, Secure glint’s egg in Tarir. Right after the bunny stage when moving into the next one my computer goes completely black screen and freezes up. I have to do a hard re-start of the computer to fix it.

I have an intel i7-4790k CPU @ 4ghz, 16 gb ram running windows 10 64 bit, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970. Everything is up to date drive wise. I’ve attached my DxDiag file to this post, hopefully it can help.

I can’t progress in my story until this is fixed, maybe I’ll try it on my tablet to get past or something. Really disheartening wasting 1.5 hours tonight on this, along with an hour yesterday due to a power outage as I was finishing an earlier green quest. Why did they have to be so long for each step, and not save anything.

Why elite spec reqs DON'T need to be changed

They do need to be changed though. I primarily play pvp, and currently there isn’t a way to unlock hero points in pvp. I do venture out into wvw somewhat often, and pve…. as little as possible. WvW takes a loooong time to unlock 400 hero points for all of my characters. Right now I’ve spent the weekend trying to progress in my pve, so hopefully when I can finally get the mastery stuff unlocked I can get the hero points more quickly on all my chars. I haven’t made much progress, and I’ve had even less fun doing it. The elite specs are the only thing I care about with the expansion, and I feel like it’s money totally wasted with how unobtainable they are. Yeah, I can get them for free in pvp, but as soon as I leave to do something else my character completely has to change.

I hate this expansion. I haven’t been playing this game very long, but I already have 5 level 80 chars. All leveled primarily through pvp experience books. It’s nice that I can take my characters, and go do pve or wvw(which I do quite a bit of) without having to excessively grind for gear or hero points. At least it was nice. If I like a new build using the new traits that I paid money for… now I have to grind more pve than I’ve done in my entire playing time to just get 1 spec for 1 character.

Add on to that, the new zones suck. I just want to get hero points, that’s it. To do so, however, I need to grind a lot. Then once I’ve mindlessly done events, I can jump around for 30 minutes trying to get to a hero point. Then I find out that I dropped into an area with 5 veterans and 1 champion who just 1 shot me before I can even move. Time to move on to trying to find the next hero point, only to find I need yet more grinding to even get there. Yes, I spent all day today trying to figure out this pve crap that I’ve never had to even touch before.

Thank god my girlfriend had the sense to not buy the expansion, as she’d instantly quit the game and never play again. She’s not good at jumping puzzle type things, and gets lost very very easily. I couldn’t imagine her trying to find her way around the new areas. Please just change the point requirements for the new specializations to something more reasonable like 100, or put in a pvp alternative to gain the points. I do want to have my main spec line available for when I do other things, after all I paid good money for it.
