just Fractals really. Everything else seems dismissible either because its not permanent, doesn’t make a big impact, or no one does it anymore or rarely, or if you play without a guild.
yep thought this was the case indeed.
Thanks, maybe when some more friends are like superbored I’ll check it out again with them but there really doesn’t seem to be much to do added to the game. Which honestly is a shame.
Now if only NCsoft would release a western version of Blade and Soul already :P
The question is quite simple.
Has any new content been added since launch?
I tend to play quite a lot of games and love reading patch notes to see what has been added and often come back to try out new content once in a while.
On guildwars 2 I stopped after getting a few 80’s and also kept reading the patch notes once in a while however the only content I see them adding is the temporary events which always disappear.
Sure there have been a lot of bug fixes and class re-balancing but I was seriously wondering if there are certain things I’ve missed in the patch notes that they added other than the merging of servers into a huge server and maybe a few pvp maps.
I LOVE Guildwars 2 so don’t get me wrong I am not trying to hate but it just feels like compared to other games out there GW2 simply barely adds anything new in the game.
So here it comes again.
Has any new content been added since launch?
Because I really want some motivation boost to get me back into this game.
@stealth
because there was written
“scripted AI+mobs outrageous stats”
You didn t read mobs outrageous stats it seems.
And you just proved you don t know anything about PvE.
You can t kill lvl 52 jade maw.
It just oneshot you for 1570% (if i remember correctly) your HP as you approach the area, and once you are ressed it reapply agony to oneshot you again.
it was just to say that lacks of AI doesn t mean easy.
PvE is more challenging than WWW for sure if you know how is current WWW.
For pvp its a different thing
PvP players only are uberbad at PvE and vice versa. those game modes doesn t share anything in common.
And that is the reason why PvP builds and professoins are unviable in PvE and vice versa.
I don’t like to point people on their mistakes but you keep spamming WWW instead of WvW ( World versus World ).
If it was only one time then w/e but you spam the heck out of your WWW so I just had to ask what do you mean with WWW since the only WWW I know stands for World Wide Web .
If you actually mean anything correct with it then my mistake but when people were talking about World versus World and I see you spam WWW instead then it kinda makes me wonder.

I would really like to hear a Dev about wether or not they are planning to make this a final gearset or if they will keep adding better gearsets like in for example WoW. I am very curious because the answer will decide what kind off game this will become in the future. A game that forces neverending grind ( which is NOT fun ) or a game that will keep being as awesome as it is now and just adds even more cool stuff to do ( other than grinding gear to have higher stats ) .
That is what I am really hoping myself, if a dev can state ( which they most likely can’t but a man can hope ) that this will be farm for the final gearset ever and that the rest of the new gear will only be of the same stats but with different looks then I’m sure most of the people will be really happy. For those that want to grind up new gears for all alts for the rest of their lifes I can recommend more than enough other games. For those that want a game that is based on having fun and sometimes optionally work for a gearset you think looks awesome stay with guildwars 2.
God I really hope they wont add even higher sets with lots of farming after this one, because stuff like that makes previous farming time wasted and really takes away a big part of the fun for me and most of the people I know bought guildwars 2 because they loved the guildwars 1 way of handling endgame armor.
These items are mainly earned through guild content, we included them on the laurels vendor to give players the opportunity to earn them if they are not in a guild but they are priced high to encourage players to try and accomplish them via the guild content.
What if someone isn’t in a guild and doesn’t want to be? What if someone is in a small guild and has to take a long period of time to actually accomplish the missions? Why should they be forced to pay a much higher prices for these items or take far longer then those in a larger guild that can run the missions pretty much immediately? I find it amazing that you don’t realise by now how this sort of thing divides the community.
You probably wonder why this forum gets so toxic well this is a perfect example why.
What he says, we should not be forced upon either a huge guild or a grind that is simply over the top. And I can’t press the matter more about how we were only supposed to grind for awesome looking item SKINS instead of items with better STATS.
Guildwars 1 was one of my favorit games for that reason and Guildwars 2 has even more potential with how awesome the world has been designed. Why go back on your word and just screw over everyone that is in a small guild? I still love Arenanet but this hurts my heart.

On one side I really appreciate the fact that you’ve atleast allowed multiple options to gather the gear.
On the other side at launch it was promised that people that would put a lot of time in items would only get better LOOKING items and not items that have better STATS.
There are a lot of people here that have come here from other mmorpg’s because this game doesn’t have the pressure those games had that forces you to farm items or do dailies in order to have equal stats as everyone else. You guys are completely going in the wrong direction by making us work very hard to unlock these items and even then we have it on only one character.
Guildwars 1 was my favorit game for a very long time because it allowed me to not feel pressured into farming gear but still gave me something fun to do ( gathering nice looks for armors or miniature pets for example and a lot more ).
So long story short:
Don’t go back on your word and keep the rewards for farming nice LOOKING gear instead of forcing everyone to pick one character to grind gear with better STATS on it.
ya that sounds quite funny, someone should reward that thief for his mission being accomplished
Thanks Michael, your solution worked. Cheers!
I linked my Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 accounts between 10-14 days ago.
At my Guild Wars 2 account on the website it shows that the accounts have been linked and that I have exciting rewards awaiting me inside the Hall of Monuments.
Any of the new characters I made still do not have the Hall of Monuments portal stone and when I buy myself one in lions arch to visit it the ghost named Kimmes the Historian he states that I do not travel the paths as those who came before me. ( the message accounts get when their accounts are not linked to a guild wars 1 account ).
Long story short, I linked my accounts but it doesn’t seem to have actually linked them ingame yet only linked them on the website.
I wanted to wait it out a bit to see if the problem would fix itself but it’s been about two weeks now so some help would be more than welcome.
Thank you for your time in reading this.
