Honestly I don’t feel it. My minions only aggro something if I get hit or hit them. They are okay health wise(speced into the death tree maining minions) though I basicly use them only for the CC they provide. fleshies infinite cripple as well as bone feinds imobile make for great tools. Though in big group situations in WvW they are nearly worthless but small skirmishes medium battles and pve there are quite good o.o.
Edit: besides Reanimators exploit I have had a few people manage to pick themselfs up with it. Though normally they fall back down but it can get anoying :/
