They have a website dedicated to hacked accounts, I’m not worried about them.
I’m more annoyed that GW2 wants me to pay for a future item to change my display name when it was only due to their bug it was changed.

they have barely even read my ticket or my problem that they caused and just keep sending automated responses like this last one.

“We apologize for the delay in addressing your ticket, but we have been experiencing large influx of tickets as we move towards launch. Below you will find an automated response containing the most common support requests we’ve been receiving. We know that such form letter responses are less than ideal. However with the strain on our support department we want to get everyone’s issues addressed as soon as we possibly can. "

I was actually going to get deluxe, until I asked my brother what the upgrade gives you, and after he told me I was glad I didn’t waste the 30$ xD

I changed my email address a week ago, but under my display name on the forums it still displays my previous email address.

DO NOT take it to the gw2 sub reddit, just because gw2 cant create a proper forum with a general thread section, doesn’t mean you should post rants on the gw2 news subreddit

your post is in the correct section, as per your issue, this is the closest matching official forums, only other choice is to take it to a non-official forum which isn’t an option.

Bump for hoping to get my name back o.o

My account’s display name is Vanadin.5046, yet due to a bug, it displays at verge.6781.

Basically, my brother and I pre-purchased gw2 near the same time, on the same computer on may 1st, I purchased first (Vanadin.5046) , then my brother (Verge.8453)
And for some reason when he selected verge as his name it selected it for both of us, so now in the guild roaster it says we’re both the same person and it’s really annoying.
I sent in about 15 ticket replys for this incident all in all, they’ve asked for the serial code to my brother and my game and I’ve provided, yet still not resolved.
We did not have a gw1 account
I’ve been told repeatedly that if I wait I will be able to use currency to change my display name, and it’s been 5 months. I Shouldn’t have to pay to change my name back to what it was before gw2 mixed our names up anyways.

I don’t know why this is such a hard problem to fix, gw2 mixed up our names and I want my name back, Thanks
