The bag and bank slots certainly aren’t required at all. – Especially if you use the collectibles tab. And you have 5 Character slots, granted it’s understandable if you wish to make all professions. – But essentially, gems are for vanity and they’re completely optional. – I’d be thankful that they don’t force you to pay for upgrades with some type of scheme along the lines of; “The best gear is bought with Gems.” – Now -that- would be something to flip over.

Berserker's Draconic Box?

According to the wiki, it requires

-50 Mystic Coins
-5 Bottles of Elonian Wine
-20 Crystals (That’s the PvE ones, not the PvP. Contrary to popular belief.)
-1 Armor piece.

The armor piece being an Orichalcum Lining / Plate / Casing or what have you based on whatever you want, combind with the “Berserker’s Intricate Gossamer Insignia (Exotic)” – Which the recipe can be bought for 896 Karma from your Master Armorsmith Vendor.

Unfortunately! As I have discovered, either this is an incorrect formula and the offical Guild Wars 2 wiki is incorrect. – Or, it it currently bugged.
As it stands, the Coins, Wine, and Shards all combind nicely. But when any of them are placed in, the Armor piece instantly shades itself grey, being unable to cooperate. – You can force it in there by clicking it, but the Forge button will not light up.

-First, I thought it might be my item, so I sold my helm and bought a chest with the profit. – Also, refused to cooperate. At this point in time, I’m waiting for a miracle to fix the situation, or anyone else on how to enlighten me as to -how- we go about making this box?

-And from what I’ve read on the forums, the box itself seems to be bugged as well. Giving players “Berserker’s Gladiator” instead of the desired “Draconic”.

Any information towards the subject would be much appreciated, if it’s a known bug, or someone has made this before and can replicate the process!

Thank you.

How are we supposed to figure out what we need for legendary weapons?

The information is open to an extent. From looking at the wiki, each legendary weapon requires two ‘Gifts’, a Bloodstone shard. And a specific exotic weapon. – The ‘Gifts’ are created by a specific profession. For example; The gift of Metal is made from Weaponsmithing 400, the patterns for these ‘gifts’ can be bought from Miyani, a black haired Human Female located next to the Mystic Forge in Lion’s Arch. Be warned, she lacks a merchant symbol above her skull, only a talking symbol. – The Patterns are located on the second tab. On the first tab, you’ll find the “Bloodstone Shard” which costs 200 Skillpoints. The materials, and professions required to make the ‘gifts’ for your own legendary, can be located on the Wiki.

Now, we’re missing the final component; The specific exotic weapon. – Sunrise requires Dawn, Twilight requires Dusk. And so forth, unfortunately, the information regarding those weapons has yet to be revealed to us, though people have certaintly figured it out; considering they’ve been popping up on the Trading Post. – In time, the exact method will be revealed. As of right now, it is SPECULATED that 4 Exotic level weapons will have a -CHANCE- to create the desired weapon in the mystic forge.

So, 4 Exotic Greatswords (Not rare) in the mystic forge, have a -chance- to create Dawn, or Dusk. And 4 Exotic Staves in the Mystic Forge have a -chance- to create The Legend.

As I said before, this is speculation! If you have money to burn, go ahead and test this theory. But I’d suggest waiting until the method is concreate. – If I figure it out, I’ll make a video of the entire process and post it on the forums.
