Can't update

Hi

I’m on a Mac, playing from Australia. When I open the client the updater started, gets to 27mb, then the speed drops to 0 and won’t progress.

I’ve tried restarting and repairing but it hasn’t helped. This has been happening for the last week or so.

I’ve seen other threads on the forum similar to this but without a solution. I’d really like to play when the season restarts.

Can anyone help?

I can get another 300 power from traits making it 1,895. What would you consider acceptable? Keep in mind this is hybrid to you are looking for direct and condition damage.

Looking at it (edit: for engineer) celestial trinkets/weapon and rampagers armour with adventurers runes gives me:

1,595 power
1,260 tough/vit
1,590 power
CC 36%
CD 173%
18,500 health
2,380 armour

This is without traits. I’m liking the results and when I specialise traits as either offensive or defensive the numbers get to a good result.

So if I like hybrid type play would I be ok going celestial trinkets with rampage gear? More specifically would the base stats from celestial trinkets give me enough toughness/vitality to survive in PvE and WvW and enough ferocity to take advantage of the precision/power from rampagers?

If anyone know an up to date way to try this out in a calculator that would be great.

Hi

Is there an optimal way to introduce toughness gear to berserker set ups post patch?

I like celestial stats so was thinking of going celestial trinkets (ascended celestial is easier to obtain in trinkets) and berserker armour/weapon, although pre patch this was a bad idea stats wise.

Hybrid gearing

Hi

I’m looking for a hybrid gearing combination that utilises ascended trinkets and exotics. I’m planning on

Celestial trinkets
Berserker shoulders/gloves/boots
Rampager head/chest/legs
Berserker or rampager weapons

Is there a more efficient way to get a similar stat mix. Also, if I end up getting ascended armor I’ve read that celestial trinkets will no longer make sense and I’d be better going celestial armor and berserk trinkets, it’s that true?

Note: I like to change builds and do all aspects of pve and wvw, and therefore enjoy a hybrid approach.

That just makes it another bomb build.

The best set I’ve come up with so far is 0/20/20/0/30.

Sitting duck makes glue shot better, coated bullets for aoe and wvw tagging.

Cloak and power shoes for defence and mobility.

Speedy gadgets, automated defence and a random minor.

Trouble with this is its way too defensive, hence the post here.

I’ve put together a p/p build based on the SD build but focusing on traits for crit proc and condition damage from pistols. I think it could be fun and the numbers look ok but do you think it will work? (I don’t have all the gear to try it myself just yet).

I wanted to try something that was less focused on Elixirs post patch. I also like to use my weapon and kit equally. In this case grenades for AoE, rifle for single target.

Hi

I was hoping for some comments on the following build which is focused on rifle and bomb kit synergies with elixirs for boons and condition removal:

Aim is for fun as well as effectiveness so it doesn’t have to be min max. I’m not sure on power shoes trait but I like + movement speed. It suits my game play.

Also, I’ve just hit 80 so any tips on armour set up would be appreciated.
