I carry a Focus with me solely for the purpose of blocking siege shots when my Commanders asks for it. There are some nice skills in Focus, as you listed, but not worth it over the more general utility and ‘goodness’ of the Dagger in offhand.

You can get good gear through many other means than Laurels (karma, trading post, dungeons …), save your Laurels for Ascended things as the necklace and rings.

Had some really good fights yesterdaynight on Kodash BL. Holding off both BB and Kodash from our (fully) upgraded Bay was a challenge and a very fun one at that. Props to both teams for putting up a fight as good as they can, despite unfavorable odds. I had to leave for dinner at some point and never got back in, but I suspect the tension was still present throughout the remainder of the night.

Keep up the good work, and take Fay’s post on the first page to heart: it’s good constructive advice that will make the fights more exciting and close, which is what we all want right?

Was fighting on the top of the south gate at Hills, I was playing a Norn Guardian (staff/mace) Armor (dark/gold).

Yep that was me! Think our fight could’ve lasted for hours with our healing, so maybe it’s a good thing your teammate showed up and finished it

Also had a great fight against a d/d elementist. Fight was very close to bad that after 3 minuts a teammate came up to kill him. And as respect to the elementist i did the /bow animation near his body. Not to humiliated him but as a token of respect for the fight.

I think that was me, after we tried to take Hills and got wiped. Good fight indeed, hope we’ll meet each other on the field of battle again and finish what we started
