[TOTO] – I Bless The Rains
(edited by Vizioso.5981)
Video is of me, Vzariah [TOTO], playing a healing/support spec guardian in a small group fighting (sometimes much) larger groups on the Stormbluff Isle server. This first video features only a couple of clips, but #2 is already 50% completed and more videos will come. Hope you guys like it. Also, spec & gear is listed at the end of the video.. make sure to watch in HD so you can see it.

[edit] Also, should probably note.. I have almost no role as a DPS in this group except for supplementary. I do what I can to prevent as much incoming damage as possible (heals, HoTs, blinds, condi removal, killing pets, etc.).

If not – well hopefully there are more pvp games on the horizon who can catch that fading glimmer that is DAoC.
Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but nothing will ever catch that glimmer… In all honesty, running 3-4 man groups in this game is the closest thing I’ve had to an 8-man since I left DAoC years ago.
Bumping once, just in case.
GUILD NAME: I Bless the Rains
GUILD TAG: [TOTO]
We currently have 4 members, a mesmer, a warrior, an ele, and a support guardian (me). I wouldn’t mind adding a few more to our ranks. We are focused on small group WvW. That is, we take 3-5 guys out into the world, find fights, and that’s that. Between the four of us, we have most all the crafting professions maxed out and covered for the most part. We’re not in it for the grind of aesthetic gear differences… we play to have fun and to win when we play. Usually we’re outnumbered, but we have a lot of fun winning. The 4 of us have been playing together since the early days of WoW, so we’re extremely tight-knit, but our numbers have thinned over the years and, with our schedules getting more and more out of wack, it would be nice to have more options for members to play with. We’re not going to ask you to dedicate your life to us or be on a specific time and specific day, but we have a Vent & mumble that you can hang out on while you wait for others to get on. If you’re interested, message me and I can get more into specifics about not only what we want from you, but our gaming credentials as well. For those interested, I put together a short video of us in WvW here:

Look forward to hearing from you.
How do so many people literally do nothing to you for that long a period of time? I can understand thieves being slippery and hard to kill especially with so many of the guys in this video elevated to 80, but literally your health almost never moves. It’s like they were just standing there looking at you while they died. Good video, though.
I don’t agree with the instant burn. If you’re fighting a group and you wipe them out and have someone left alive at the end to rez, I think you should be able to do so. I agree, though, that you shouldn’t be able to rez fully dead players while in combat. I’m sure with greater numbers they get rezzed up fairly quickly, which is completely stupid. Only 1 group has ever tried to do that to my small group, and 5 of them got 100 bladed down by 2 warriors while trying to rez a dead guy. On a much smaller scale, doesn’t make much sense. On a ZvZ scale, I could see it being a problem.
I run small groups in WvW (3-4), and we’re literally almost always outnumbered when fighting. While I agree that downed favors having more players, I would be content with one simple change: don’t allow people to rally off of mob kills. That has been one of the most frustrating things in WvW for me. We had a 4 v 10 fight that we lost literally because of a mob rallying players. Other than that, I think it’s fine.
Hello! This is my first GW2 WvW video. I’m playing a healing/support guardian on Stormbluff Isle. We run a group of 3-4 in WvW as you’ll see in the video, and I’ve adapted my playstyle to basically fit the needs of the group (very little DPS, whole lot of use of defensive abilities). I was having a lot of lag issues after Hurricane Sandy, so I apologize if the video is jumpy or laggy at times. Also, if you want to see the gear & spec at the end, make sure you watch it in HD. Hope you enjoy it.
