You must have forgotten how long it took Starcraft to hit rank 15 in GW1…
. It’s no more repetitive than games like dota/lol/hon, starcraft, counter-strike, etc.
I agree with everything BUT counterstrike.
The game was only “repetitive” because there was no form of progression (hence the reason valve added achievement points).
Guess you missed the part where you could choose between both bomb and hostage maps (and even VIP maps back in the day). All maps in CS are very different from one another, and offered many more strats compared to what GW2 does atm.
spvp as a whole is extremely repetitive and boring after your 2k+ game… i have no idea how powerrr has made it to lvl 52 without being bored out of his mind. Not to mention, after about 11 pm EST… queue pops for paids is close to 25 minutes long.
could have scratched all these notes and put:
-Spectral armor now grants STABILITY, along with protection and DS gain.
guess ima have to rely on a 30 point trait, for god knows how long… for any form of stability…
When i read “kill shot vid” i was hoping this would have been a spvp/tpvp video…

Half the people who complain about the class… and losing in 1v1.. just dont know how to play the class.. period.
Yeah… 4v1.. you obviously aren’t going to win… esp to people who know how to play their class even halfway decently.
Most of the people that i see that complain… dont know a decent rotation of either bleeds or burst… they dont run plague signet or BiP.. or even how to counter bulls rush/100b/heartseeker builds.. also dont know how to use DS properly…. plague signet should be used in every build… regardless of the build you’re running imo.
The only class you should be having any issues with are hybrid spec Guardians… even then it comes down to the skill of the Guardian…
Necro is a high(er) skill capped class… kills aint gonna come easy.
This thread is full of “i want to win every fight, with little to no effort, and without spending much time learning my class”
Ive got over 700 hours spent pvping with a necro… and im still learning… the rest of you should do the same.
Still waiting for those screen shots showing all of you claiming Necro is ‘fine’ have actually done a fair amount of tpvp.
You’ll also have several level 80’s because you know that MMO’s can be rebalanced with no notice and suddenly the class you’re currently playing is no longer competitive. A true competitor takes that in stride and shifts to their level 80 that got buffed to OP status.

a TRUE competitor takes the changes in stride, and makes those changes WORK… takes the “competitiveness” to a whole new level, making things work that others cant.
and why couldnt this thread be about tpvp? the same things others whine about can be said for tpvp too dude.
95% of my time spent ingame is spent playing spvp matches/tournaments…
I love the necro, always have… being that its a much higher skill capped class then say thief or warrior makes it that much more enjoyable to play (at least for me)… and there are heaps of builds i have ran to somewhat perfect certain builds (bleed/epidemic to be exact)….
But the only major issue for me at least, is there is no reliable form of stability. Yes, DS has 3 seconds of stability… but a 30 point trait??? A 3 second stability every 10 seconds isnt reliable, and is extremely situational. If stability was a 20 point trait, and you could spec decrease cooldown time on DS as a 30 point trait, it would make it much better (and possibly a little overpowered)… but having to rely on say guardians to give me stability just doesnt cut it.
