There are so many good suggestions provided here. GW2 is the first MMO I kept playing, and I hope something gets done about the current state of affairs. I like my engi and my necro, and both are good classes, it’s just that others seem to do better in the current environment.
Will the current playerbase always try to exploit any ‘fix’ given for a problem? At least logging in still feels fun to me and I keep my hopes up.
+1 for the option to turn them off or have skins for gems.
Personally, I like the Hobosack look for humans, but sylvari/asura are ashamed of what they are forced to wear.
Even with a health buff, turrets remain rather……stationary…
I think that will keep getting them killed rather fast, but I wouldn’t know a solution.
Now this would be interesting, also the story idea is great
This is a small idea:
engineers gain “weapons slots” in which unlocked weapon kits are stored/locked. These would be underneath the current weapon slots, and you can’t move them around or salvage them.
In these slots would be your weapon kits. You can add sigils to them this way (remove sigils by using a salvage kit, not destroying the weapon kit but calculating the chance of recovering upgrades and like that return the sigil or destroy it.).
The next bit is an additional idea. I am afraid that I do not now how weapon kit damage is calculated currently, so keep that in mind.
Now, take the flamethrower. A new lvl 1 engineer would have a ‘rusty flamethrower’. At lvl 5 it replaces itself with ‘dented flamethrower’, the rusty flamethrower disappearing altogether. The ‘dented FT’ and has slightly higher damage (displayed as weapon damage in the weapon slots). At lvl 80 you have a strong flamethrower. Perhaps engineers could do an additional story quest to get a legendary flamethrower?
Or, by double clicking on the weapon kit its ‘type’ could be chosen. (the current barbaric/warriors/givers/carrion types)
+1, not colorblind, but supportive!
Noticed it today too. Anet, please keep some story bosses in mind too. (retaking Claw Island). (+1 btw)
it says I have too many (5) guild invites, yet the guild panel seems void of those.
I have no invites, that is the problem.
Though I have searched the forums, I couldn’t find any similar posts. Sorry if this has been frequently asked.
Problem is that I cannot get any guild invitations. I noticed when I wanted to get back into a guild I had left some time ago (never encountered problems before), and my brother tried to invite me. He is in my friends list (I vaguely remember a group invite bug concerning non-friends and took no risk) and when inviting me on my character’s name it says ‘acces denied’ and when using my account name from his friends list (a nickname, note) it says I have too many (5) guild invites, yet the guild panel seems void of those.
About the above event, taking place in the fields of ruin and according to the wiki, that particular area is called Warrior’s Crown.
The event consists of killing 6 ‘assassins’ (strong separatist mobs) and their leader.
As support, 6 NPC’s will be there to fight them.
The bug is that none of the NPCs take damage. They stay at full health when hit by the mobs, even when they are knocked back etc. (Local does are often pulled into the fight, and those don’t damage them either).
I have been there twice now and it is the same every time. The commander of the little NPC squad did die normally the first time, but was invincible the second time.
Hmm. I don’t have much dungeon experience, but in most dungeons, we wouldn’t have made it past the last few bosses without the res-run.
I’m talking about a random group here. And yes, we did discuss strategy in hard fights.
Now, disabling the wp during combat is a good idea to encourage teamwork, but there must be a system to help teammates get up in a fight. Otherwise dungeons become to hard. Perhaps ressing will go faster when more teammates are down? A (personal?) bar that fills as you deal and recieve damage and will res someone for (a part of) the stored energy? Some object (a little totem?) which can be picked up and used to res someone? (it could give a skillbar with a healing, condition remove and res skills?)
I know the bosses will be changed, but a little help in dungeons would be nice.
