Snowball Mayhem should be year-round

I love snowball mayhem. Like the other activities, it’s an instant, fun alternative. I find its casual approach to PvP very appealing. Here’s to hoping it’ll be considered to be a permanent part of the game .

Lunatic Inquisition is unfair

I know Lunatic Inquisition is just a temporary diversion, but it’s loads of fun, so I thought I’d add my two cents anyway. I do agree with the topic and feel that surviving as a villager is too difficult. As was already stated, the Mad King Says ability for courtiers seems overpowered. Nearly evertime I’ve been chased by a courtier, he’d repeatedly use the Mad King Says ability, rendering me constantly stationary and helpess as I complete each emote – even with the refreshed Hide in Shadows, the courtier will relentlessly slash the area of my last visible spot. However, without this ability, it is quite easy to outrun a courtier, so I can kind of see why it was implemented.

I feel another issue is the now numerous courtiers that spawn at the start of the game – though I don’t know if it’s a bug or not. Previously, only one courtier would spawn at the start of the game, and it felt like the difficulty ramped up throughout the round at just the right pace. And it gave villagers just enough “breathing room” at the beginning to strategize and gather/hand in a few supplies. At the moment, with 3-4+ ghosts right at the start, it feels overwhelming and it’s become almost impossible to summon one of the various npc defenders, let alone to survive for the time allotted. Of course, I will acknowledge the fact that there is an intentional advantage given to the courtiers over the villagers, and with dedicated players – though rare – achieving victory as a villager is very possible.

Regardless, I’m still enjoying Lunatic Inquisition, and I’d love to see it become permanent one day.

How far has your journey taken you?

Let us commemorate the journey and progression your character has embarked on in Guild Wars 2 through before and after screenshots (and in-between if you so choose). Post an early screenshot from the first days of your character’s wide-eyed exploration, and another of wherever their journey has led them up to now. Feel free to add a little backstory if you’d like.

I will start things off. In my before picture you will see my inexperienced necromancer during the first days of her journey. Finally finding respite in the woods of Kessex Hills, having slogged through a treacherous swamp, infested by all manner of beasts and insects. She arrives prepared, with panda-like facial paint, and a robe with varying shades of green and black to camouflage within her environment – having learned these techniques from her necromancer trainer, among other things. By her side sits her first pet. Ever the loyal companion, providing life energy to sustain its necromancer master during her long travels, whilst its own flesh whithers away.

One year has passed. Now known for accomplishing heroic deeds all throughout Tyria, you will see the once-novice necromancer on her latest quest to infiltrate the Nightmare Court and quell their operations. Underestimating their forces, she had no other choice but to escape, with her Nightmare foes trailing behind, and her loyal companion now fully grown and ever still by her side.
