Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone. I’m relatively new to GW2. Reading all of the guides, Mesmer immediately appealed to me. I loved the idea of winning a battle based on confusion and strategy vs. just bashing someone over the head with my sword..lather, rinse, repeat.

Anyways, if any of you would be so kind to give me feedback on my idea for a build, it would be great. I thought I would try a confusion build, although I am not so sure what would be the best type I should be going for to learn my way during PvE/PvP (WvW, to be candid, still scares me a bit). I picked Scepter/Torch b/c I figured if I could create a boatload of confusion coupled with a clone factory that causes cripple on defeat, I could essentially farm multiple aggro in PvE and just strafe around them w/o them catching me until they are dead…again could be a bad idea. Staff…just seemed like a good all around weapon, although not sure how I should best use it.

Lastly, I did not include any armor. 1) b/c I still find my armor 15-20 lvls below my level usually, and 2) not sure what my best options are.
