Just an update for my fellow GW2 players, I was wrongfully terminated for Botting, Macros, etc. I was banned on Thursday 11/08/2012 (Right before the 3 day Holiday Weekend) so I was expecting Support to be very much prolonged. All in all, they are doing the best job they can guys. My account has been restored Tuesday morning at around 9:30am. The working week has just fully begun for them and Im almost certain support will reach you guys a bit more faster then it did for me and the others banned before the long weekend. If you are innocent please be assured that you will most surely get your account back. So it took customer support to restore my account roughly 3-4 days. I know that this shouldn’t have happen but it did, so all we can do is hope for a speedy recovery and we call can enjoy the game once again. Thank you Gaile and GWS support team for everything you guys have done and are still doing.

Sigh…Anet telling me my account is restored only to find out its still blocked just sucks….i was doing so well trying just to be calm and patient. Then they say your unbanned and my emotions sky rocket and fully excited to play again and just happy in general. then i find myself right back at phase 1 of being banned from the game. = /

This is the feeling i was feeling the 1st day i got banned. I must try to muster up my feelings and calm down again.

Dear Gaile Gray or any Support Mod,
I don’t know what to do, I don’t want to make another ticket and prolong everyone’s queue. Today I have received and email from GWS support team stating my account has been restored, my ticket (Account Restored [Incident: 121109-000304]) also has changed to Account Restored. Armando sent me a new password and I was able to change it into my password of choice. But when i try to log in i still get an error. All I’m asking is what do I do now? Do I update my ticket that has been “Resolved” or do i submit another ticket stating my previous ticket isn’t fully resolved? If i don’t get a response soon, I guess I will have to submit a new ticket and wait again…..

Hi guys just want to say they are working on accounts today and not to give up on hope. I’m not restored yet but when I tried to log in again it changed from banned for botting, to your account may be accessed by an unauthorized individual. I haven’t received any response via email or by the ticket system, that is the only change for me for the past 4 days. Just wanted everyone not to give up hope and think of this as a learning experience on both the players and anet’s side. Things will go wrong all the time guys, just gotta stick through it. I was hacked on the PSN network and had all my info stolen and even my CC charged leaving my bank to 0. As much as Playstation has gotten blamed, In reality, it’s all the hackers fault that bring distress to the game. If you want to blame someone, then vent all that hate into the botters that caused all of this in the first place. Dont blame our support team. they are working hard trying to please everyone one person at a time.

Hey guys some good news and bad news. Ill start off with the bad news….4th day still banned for me….Growing rather impatient by checking the forums, emails, and support ticket.(Almost given up any hope, no response). Good News! Pre-Ordered my Call Of duty Blacks Ops 2. Came out last night at 12:01am. So if anyone who isn’t getting responses and feel that your ill treated. Maybe go pick up a copy and try to get your mind off this issue.
I submitted a ticket on[11/08/2012] 8:51pm (PST), today is 11/12/2012 4:07am. It is well over 3 days time and i have not received any response from GW2 support team. Any response would be very much appreciated. Hope to hear from you guys asap. Thank you

Wow…..Were on page 29 already, I been banned for “Botting” for about 3 days now (Not One Single Response of Any Kind) and from page 25+ its mostly about payment issues…more tickets now due to 2 type of issues….sigh. I been waiting patiently for 3 days. I’ll admit the first day was pretty dreadful, kind of felt like crap all day. I mean I still do and I’m sure that everyone who is super excited about this game feels the
same way. I started this forum at page 16 within 3 days, its now on page 29. I seriously just want to give up on any kind of hopes I had for a response. Rechecking my email, Refreshing my support tickets, reading all the posts here(Literally like every half hour). Just know that what has happen here effects us Anet.

Today is my 3rd day since I have submitted my ticket. Only update i got was from GM Talon and he just merged my duplicate ticket into the first ticket i have submitted. Other than that I have not been contacted by you guys yet. My account is still banned. I know your doing the best job you guys can do and GW2 community is supporting you guys all the way. I hope everything will get resolved asap, I very much love playing this game and I’m sure many of us feel the same way. I wanted to personally thank Gaile for replying In the Main thread. Replies by Gaile or anyone else on the Support team gives the community a sense of progress and gives us hope whether it be someone else account or your own. We want to thank you for the work you guys have put in so far and most of us try to understand the nature of your profession and what you guys have to deal with day to day. Its not an easy job when dealing with a “Zerg” of customers lol.

Wow, even if my account is restored. I will still be scared to play. Something is very wrong. Most mmo when something of this magnitude happens gm will issue a rollback.

Hi, Was banned on wednesday, on friday got an email asking me to send some more information in, checked my mail today and I can get back on the game now, so it’s about 3 days.

Great news bro, i was banned on Thursday morning hope they are working weekends maybe good news for alot of us. Thanks support team. alot more good news for all the players thats caught in the crossfire.

im back in game. dduring the night my acc has been restored. all in all it has been 56 hours.
i wish you all you guys good luck and thx for the support on the forum. it has been easier having a place to speak with ppl in same situation.
i also hope anet reads this thread and it helps them improve the system.

Thanks alot for taking your time to tell us the good news, at least on your end. I know alot of players here are anxiously waiting for their account to be restored as well as myself. But keeping us updated like that gives us all hope. Though many of us wish we were in your shoes, we do wish you well and are very happy that the Support Team is doing all they can. Its been about 30hrs for me now and I guess Im halfway thier? or maybe not lol. But who knows! maybe even sooner. And i think a thread like this does help players vent their feelings whether its positive or negative, (mostly negative) but all in all it helps.

I have a digital purchased version that I pre-ordered from the site before beta.
Anyone know how to find the serial key for it unless I need it?
When I pre-ordered in site it just automatically let me download and authenticate.
I think that you have to provide the last 4 digits of the card you use to complete the purchase or Paypal statement for you to verify in your situation.

Just an update:
– It’s now been about 25 hours since I was erroneously banned and 24 hours since I submitted a support ticket (with ALL required information). Other than the intial automatic email confirmation of the issue, I’ve heard nothing.
Yeah same for me, been checking my email very often checking threads here to hear any news and refreshing my support tickets in hopes of any changes that may occur.

I just got banned for no reason as well about an hour ago. Weird thing is my friend says I was still logged in at cursed shore after I got booted. If these so called ban reviews are really done by humans, they have an immense amount of room to improve.
Make a ticket asap and try to include as much info as possible including your seriel number. account name, email, etc. And be sure all this info is submitted to GW2 support team only. And i guess just hope for the best.

Well this just sucks, I made a ticket just about 24hrs ago. Still no reply, except a GM has updated my support ticket(s) as a duplicate, failure on my part as I made 2 tickets not knowing if I had done it right the 1st time or not. Not sure if the ticket numbers are in sequence, but when I made the 1st ticket it was was at 121109-000304 and approx. 4hrs later I decided to make a 2nd ticket through another tab and the new ticket number was 121109-001044. So within 4hrs approx 700+ tickets have been made inbetween my tickets. This is a serious problem and it just seems to be growing even bigger by the minute. I know this is gonna sound weird…..but all we can do is Support our Support team lol. Because it seems they have more on their plate then anyone here can imagine. Keep up the good work Support Team, we know you guys are doing ALL you can and whether you see ppl complaining or ranting on this issue. Deep down inside were all rooting for you lol. Hope everyone is hanging in there.
