I used to love running events and temples in Orr. Since the last patch, with the new scaling system, Orr has become something people avoid. The champion abomination at the end of the Plinx chain needs a significant nerf. He gets 25 stacks of permanent fury by attacking pets and npc’s, then one shots anyone with less than 27k hp. That is way too powerful, regardless of the size of the zerg. When he does go down, usually after your character is killed 5 or 6 times, he drops a blue you can sell for 60 copper. Not fun and not worth the effort.
Melandru is the only temple that has been open daily on my server. The champion spider is overpowered and needs to be brought back to pre patch. The veteran spiderlings just plain need to go. I believe that to be true for every event. Annoying does not equal fun. Get rid of them.
Grenth is just about impossible to do. I believe it was about right before the patch. Let’s face it, that temple is wrecked right now. Getting one shotted by an invisible champ spider and it’s swarm of veteran spiderlings is not fun and will never be fun.
Lyssa will more than likely join Grenth as another of the temples people will just not do. The changes to that are just all around bad. Sorry, I’m being honest.
Pact morale needs to be buffed for Balthazar and Arah chain events.
IMO, Orr was pretty darn good before this last patch. With a few bug fixes and some slight tweaks, it could have been very good. Anet went totally overboard with the last patch and tried to fix something that wasn’t broken. In effect, making Orr events either impossible to complete or sucking the fun right out of them. There used to be commanders running a zerg event to event in Orr, and that was a blast! Now, you will be lucky to see 20 people on the whole map. Please, bring back the fun.
