I'm afraid of doing the invasion events...

Don’t think it’s your computer at fault .. or your internet connection. I’ve been DC’d during two invasions today on my quad-core gaming machine, which, given that the invasions only happen once an hour, eats well into my total gaming time for the day. But my internet connection is rock solid (has been for the last 30 days), and the DC only took me back to the character select screen. So I reckon it’s ANet’s problem. I mean, running a quest chain which focuses players onto one map on the hour every hour has got be stressing the servers and asking for problems. Seems to me to be a barmy idea. But what’s this about fiddling with the WvW culling options?

I too hate JPs, which is why I loved GW1. Nevertheless, with some great support from other players, in particular with portalling and rezing, I managed a number of efforts at the dive. Finally I did the dive – and didn’t get the credit – I think I must have somehow lost the goggles before landing in the water or something. At this stage I too was on the edge of rage-quitting this game.

I am not inclined to waste more hours trying to make this dive. I started Dive Master two weeks ago when being a super-expert jumper was not a prerequisite for it. I’m hoping that is still the case. If it turns out this dive is now required for the achievement, I think I shall be coming to the conclusion that there are better (or at least more enjoyable) things I can be doing with my time. I mean why should a title that was fairly straightforward to get one week suddenly be made incredibly difficult to acquire the next week? Why should I bother trying for any achievements, titles, legendaries, or whatever, if I suspect Anet might suddenly decide to do something to make them so much harder to get for those who haven’t already got them?

Sorry for the rant but like the OP this got to me.

Sorry for opening a new thread on this topic. For some reason, my first thread seems to have got locked after you replied. I guess I don’t quite understand how these forums work yet …

Anyway, in your reply, your first suggestion was that I could use the in-game tool. Which in-game tool? Typing /report (a la GW1) doesn’t seem to work. Going to the Support window from the Main menu, gives me only the options of reporting a bug under headings none of which seem applicable, coming back to this forum, or going off to the support website (presumably as per your second suggestion). Have I overlooked an in-game way of reporting this activity?

There are a group of 3 player characters located near Yak’s Bend Waypoint in Frostgorge Sound, on the Seafarer’s Rest server presumably (should I be more specific, if so, how?), that seem to be grinding loot by killing foes as they spawn near their location. The fact that these characters have been there for the last 6 hours, and are cycling through their (elementalist) skill set, regardless of whether there are any foes at hand, leads me to wonder if they are botting (I’m no expert on this)? Is this likely to be the case? If so, should I be reporting them? If so, how?

In case they’re innocent, I shall refrain from naming the characters at present …
