On so many attempts my platform has been cleared only to look over and see some poor platform stuck with 2 people on it, while every other platform has 5+ and in one instance there were 8 people on a platform I was on while another had 2. Seriously WTF.

The seeming RNG on where people are placed on the platforms is terrible. Earlier today 4 of the 5 platforms had 5-6 people on them. The 5th platform? TWO!

I was in WvW, but then the game client lost connection. Now I can’t stay logged in for more than 30 seconds before the game client loses it connection again.

Elementalist summoned weapons do count as a weapon swap and will trigger a Sigil of Battle. In addition, while using summoned weapons an Elementalist can continue swapping attunements to proc weapon swap sigils, subject to the sigil’s ICD.

I’m sick of being stuck with PUGs who place the walls sideways instead in a useful pattern. Who don’t help upgrade/build throughout the round. Forcing me to PUG instead of play with my friends was a stupid decision.

I love these people, who regardless of the fact that ANet has stated there is an issue, still continue to say “get a better PC”.

Culling? Get a better PC…
Lag? Get a better PC…

Even after ANet has admitted to issues such as the lag during the events and the culling of models when masses of player are grouped…and you still think the problem is on the players end? Get a clue already…

The first event, escort the demos wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t a terrible event. The Ancient Karka event just plain sucks. This isn’t fun…

On another note, why don’t these one time events that require significantly more time than other lvl 80 repeatable DEs actually gave a bigger reward in terms of karma, experience, and gold?

Actually, that is a massively ignorant statement Brewbeer. Most of the combat in this game is rather simplistic. In combat being off by small distances doesn’t matter. General kiting required by 99% of the combat in this game does not require anywhere near the coordination of any of the jumping puzzles, even the “Space+W” as you’d put it.

If you can’t figure out WHY there are people with concerns about jumping puzzles in progression dungeons yet, then I’d assume you have some form of mental disability. Its pretty obvious if you read this thread and just pay attention. Instead you come in and just say “Jumping Puzzles are great” or “Lazy gamers”, but lack any consideration for those people who’d like to play a game with their friends but physically CANNOT complete a them.

Some how ANet managed to built a shut off for the dodge the lightning bars coming down the ramp if three people got past it, but didn’t think to make an equivalent for the jumping puzzles? Very inconsiderate to a very specific set of gamers.

This has nothing to do with jumping puzzles in the open world that don’t provide an advantage to players via gear that cannot be obtained anywhere else. Unlike the fractals which very specifically have gear you cannot get elsewhere.

Karka hp keeps resetting to full

Happening on Blackgate LA instance. So happy instead of resetting the boss into the big orange circle where you can actually kill it, they instead made it perma regen outside the circle so the lemmings can stand there fighting an essentially invulnerable mob forever!

If you’ve already done the arms, then continue all the way to the top. The mob you fight at the top will drop a hammer periodically.

The difference here is jumping puzzles such as this actually do hamper individuals who want to play the game, but due to disabilities lack the fine motor skills to perform them. Previous jumping puzzles were mostly “optional” and would not hamper an individual’s attempts to advance a character’s equipment. The jumping puzzles in FotM do interfere with those individuals.

Question for Thief who also play Warrior.

My first character was a warrior and my second was a thief. The classes do feel distinct from each other. I enjoy playing both of them a great deal. Honestly, the leveling content was more of an issue than the class distinction for leveling my second character.

I did a lot of crafting (3/400) and WvW to level my thief, couldn’t stand repeating a lot of the same content that was still fresh in my brain from leveling my warrior.

Sorry, but GW2’s market system doesn’t hold a candle to the Eve Online markets. Every other market and economy from MMOs I’ve played personally have paled in comparison to that system.

Delayed load on enemy players

Being wiped out by “shadow forces” which the game won’t render in a timely manner is getting very old very quick. Servers are intentionally using this to wipe out attackers by dog piling out the gate portal and destroying the attackers before they’ve loaded. I’d rather be looking at colored boxes that actually loaded rather than being wiped out because the current system is slow to render enemy forces rushing out doors.

If tokens are made universal there will be winners and losers in dungeons. Simply put the majority of any player base will take the path of least resistance to anything they want. It will reduce the game to a limited number of paths being farmed in the dungeons that are deemed to be the easiest.

Contrary to the opinion of some, everyone didn’t farm CoF just because they thought the gear looked good. It was also the easiest path to the gear of that tier aside from the crafted sets.

You do not have to bug it out or suicide protect the bomb. Most people are not changing their utility / elite skills just for that room. My entire group changes their entire set of utility and elite skills for that room so we can kite it. Fortunately, four of us are Asuran and all four of us bought the D-Golem (like idiots). That thing actually eats up aggro in that room extremely well. However, almost any pet can work to some degree in that room to buy time. Additionally things like Fear Me work really well. We’ve done it a few times with only 1 death, but a few people were downed.

All that said, I’m still waiting for Mr. Developer to post a video of them killing all the mobs in the room “as intended”.

Allegedly people are using an Elementalist to do the Magg run. Basically you run across with everyone. Magg will follow and eventually die somewhere in the middle. Then your Elementalist will use an air attuned glyph of renewal to rez Magg on your location.

I haven’t tried this method personally, but it’s how a few people have claimed doing it. The regular group I far dungeons with does include an Elementalist, so we’ll probably try this out tomorrow.

Haven’t recorded doing it, but it’s doable. The hardest part is honestly the lava crossing for us because its just plain buggy. It’s about just being able to push hard and take the mobs down quickly to move Magg along.

The bomb room is actually fairly easy. We kill the first two spawns and then are forced to kite the rest. The last time we ran it we only had one death. We just use pets, D-Golems, and Fear Me among other things to kite the room around. The D-Golems are actually useful for soaking up a lot of aggro for a fair amount of time.

Our group is made up of a Guardian, Elementalist (Supporty spec), and 3 Warriors (2 are shout heal specced). I don’t think I’d attempt this with a full pug group anymore.

Also, I call complete BS on the people saying its +1 minute compared to the pre-patch. The bomb room is a full extra 100 seconds added to the time. Then escorting Magg across the room takes far longer than the old method of one person running across. Nothing else has changed in the dungeon really. That said, it’s still a sub-25 minute run, because we were hitting the DR from another dungeon we ran right before (AC).

Current we failed on 1st attempt because of a…..failure by one person on our team being stupid. So now we are watching Magg leeroy to the spot he died on before and stand there to die over and over…

The way we did it was pull the 1st group of mobs and wipe them. Then push hard through the rest of the mobs down the middle path. We had one person dedicated to clearing the flames while the other four cleared. 2 GS/Rifle/Shout Heal Warriors, 1 Guardian, 1 Elem, 1 Necro.

It took us 6 resets of the idiot AI before we managed to push through without him being fullkitten

There are days when I’d love to see these developers making these decisions setup a stream. Then show how they’d do these events. I’d love to see how the developers would run the bomb room post patch, because I call BS on their ability to stand there and fight that group of mobs with any realistic expectation of survival. Please, I’d love to see the developers run the new CoF Magg room and stand there fighting the mobs.

Even before the patch fighting those mobs was difficult. My group would kill the first 2-3 spawns and then have to kite the rest of the time because they’d eventually overwhelm us otherwise. Now it’s a complete joke with how they’ve tuned that room.

Yes, the CoF Magg runs were too easy. However, adding the DR to the dungeons would have solved that problem. Instead they add DR and then actually make the worst part of CoF Magg even worse. Completely out of tune with reality.
