I would love this. Did I not read somewhere that you get the best ratio of loot/gear when you are in a zone that is your true level? I am finding I am almost always higher level then the zone I am in. I don’t want to leave a zone until I finish it and I finish the story quest occurring in it. Because I am a fervent gatherer and crafter on all my alts, I want to kill everything I see on my way to wherever the next heart/event/vista/poi is so I can get the fine mats I need to level all my girls. I also have this obsession with making sure I complete the daily every day. All that killing, all the gathering, all the crafting, all the DE’s… and I’m levelling like crazy. I would love to be able to temporarily turn off experience gain once I get too high for the zone I’m doing so I don’t feel like I am getting ahead of myself. Or when I just want to farm mats, so I don’t end up greening out my story quest. I hate it when I finish a story or a heart and the loot is not as good as what I have because I’m too high levelled for the quest.
I get a kick out of the posts from people who are always under-leveled when they are “done” a zone. That is quite impossible with my play style!
OH!…huh…What game was I thinking about? There was an MMO that was billed to have totally unique servers because player actions created towns and stuff across a giant map (that was empty at a servers conception)
Played almost all of them and as someone said, they all blurred together after awhile. Was this the game one could actually play a dragon and have a hoard? And we had to go gather resources and put them in little flying saucer disks that followed us as we hobbled out to empty spaces to build towns with what we gathered? I cannot for the life of me clearly remember the name of the game. Horizons or something like that maybe?
