To me it looked there was some sort of cooldown of about 1 or 2 minutes between when the combos will be taken into account.
Probably to avoid completing the achievement too quickly.

Same issues here. After 5 fractal runs, I’m still at level 1 because of people getting disconnected, crashes, or leave, and people cannot rejoin…..!

This really needs to be fixed asap.

I was having the same issue and thought i was stuck. But while searching for this bug on the forum, the quest unblocked itself (I was alt-tabbed) and now i see the little green star to find the pale tree.
