Guild Wars 2

I have been on AG for years and primarily wvw’d. It’s been through a lot of changes like all servers.

I think things went mostly downhill this year though, and the beginning of the year when servers were relinked, I heard something about a server we were paired with, had a big wvw guild that left right after the relinking; basically skewing the servers and putting our relinking at a disadvantage.

I dont know the full story though so I could be totally wrong. But over the last 2/3 months, most of the wvw guilds left, with CA being the last guild to leave a few weeks ago. It is a big shame, but it happens as we’ve seen with other servers.

I have to say, all the regulars who still play on AG are great, including XII and III, and Cormac. It’s been a tough few months but hoping the relinking will start a new chapter for AG.

just out of curiosity, I can’t find it easily anywhere and I have wondered since about a week after the last relinking.. thanks.

I haven’t given the new desert map enough playtime to really comment, everytime i’ve tried I get frustrated with the amount of running and going the wrong way. One time I tried catching up the commander and ended up spending more time going up down backwards and around; I was chasing shadows of my own commander that I never caught up in 30 mins lol.

Other than that, I have faith in gw2 that they will change things for the better, and i’m enjoying Eternal Battlegrounds as there’s always stuff going on.

Is really nice to see comments from the team though, like from Mandragoran’s link as I dont tend to see much comments/news, especially on this forum. (I only really check this forum for updates etc, I dont use reddit myself).

I just wanted to add my opinion to this too. I love the expansion, the new maps are great. I really wish I could play through the new maps with the ‘elite’ classes, instead I can’t and felt myself torn between wanting to rush through the maps to get hero points, and enjoying/exploring the new content.

And I spent the weekend enjoying the new maps and exploring, meaning that by the time I get enough hero points for all my chars, i’d have explored everything and not played/enjoyed the elite specs at all which I feel is a big shame.

If you ask me, the latest change to matchups was a good idea, but it did not address the real problem.

1) Anet you created a World versus World battle, whereby the only means of organisation is the commander icon (I should mention the chat system as a matter of course).

2) The fact that servers have varying numbers of people doing wvw, the one with more will always do better. You see people on both sides complaining of this, the people in high wvw population complaining of no competition. The people in a low wvw population complaning of being steamrollered.

Would love to see these 2 issues getting some attention.

This is happening to me too. I have crashed 3 times within the last hour, and I cant remember gw2 ever crashing on me in the last 5 months or so.

In WvW, the 3rd time i log back in, tp to wvw , type 1 sentence and then the game freezes.
