This is really disappointing. This would happen right around the release of new content and one time events. Starting to get bitter at the lack of ANet responses, and I really didn’t want that.

Bump, really need some help from Anet on this. Wouldn’t be necessary if the support ticket system was actually working.
Also having the same problem!
Oh and while I was working on the problem today, this has been ongoing for the last 2 days, so everyone trying to download the patch at once isn’t the issue.
Well, I tried to file a support ticket, but after filling everything out the button to continue at the bottom was greyed out. Soooo…. here goes.
Hello, I have been playing GW2 since release with no issues whatsoever. I had a problem a few days ago with crashing in a certain area so I decided to reinstall everything while at work thinking it was no big deal. At some point during the installation of what I believe is a patch, the error message “Download failed! Please check your internet connection and try again. (2)” appeared. I had not changed any PC or firewall settings since release day. I then reinstalled to no avail, the message appears at the exact same point every time. Even though I never had to before, I forwarded the necessary ports and disabled all firewalls and still nothing has helped. The Tech Support team is my last hope, please help me resolve this issue. Thank you for all your time and effort.

Just fix the flags around the perimeter, even if you fail they’ll count towards the heart, and they reset so you’ll be able to get them again and again. I never was able to get all the way to the end, I just didn’t have the patience.
