Hi all, i was wondering is doing zones 100% worth doing if i already have 100% world achiev.? For like gold or what not?

Yeah i did it for a free server transfer, i did not have any high lvl characters anyway and i can put everything in bank and transfer anyway.

Hi all, i am returning to gw2 after about 8 months and i have few questions while im downloading the game

1. How is the story progression now? Is final part still 5 man dungeon?
2. Money/Xp/Gear wise is eotm still best way to level up then do the zones for 100%?
3. As i mentioned in question number 2, i am willing to craft legendary weapon but i want to know is it easier to craft one now than before?
4. Which EU server is recommended?

Hi all i have a question about gem store gathering tools, i already bought watchwork mining pick and i am getting watchwork sprockets as it say in tooltip.
Now i would like to know if there is a wood and herb gathering tool that offer the same kind of additional stuff when gathering as the one above?

I love the skins, my asura will look awesome in arah light gear, or some other….so many i cannot decide yet!

haven’t been in the lower tiers for a while, so i can’t tell taht much about rank 10-27, however when going for larger scale fights i’d recommend either Gandara, Far shiverpeaks or Piken Square

Sorry to change the subject a little bit, but i see that gw2 has sweetfx, which one do people use and suggest as decent to use? still waiting for my game to install and i was checking .nAKAZZ’ one and it looks nice.

to be honest, if you like the EotM gameplay, you SHOULD invest some time in picking the right server. changing servers later on will cost alot of cash ~300g or 25 euro (gems). In that case you can ask yourself wether you want to have a big community, big battles, or more small scale? do you want to raid with your guild or with the whole server? Do you prefer towercapping or fighting? ;p

Well i do like to pvp, i am not that good at it in any game but still and which server would you suggest for eye of the mist/world vs world?

the initial download is about 14GB if you just downloaded the installer, yes. Unless you have very speedy net I’d suggest overnighting it.

I have the game CD which did install about 12gb, now patching and it downloaded 6.3gb now and on 73% so in about 1 hour i will be in game \o/

I just saw the Eye of the Mist gameplay…..that place looks really fun with all the people capping stuff :O

First of all welcome!

If you’re going to pick a first class, the only advice I have is to steer clear of elementalist especially, thief and mesmer in a lesser way.

Elementalists have the weakest vitality and defense of them all, meaning unless you have a good grasp on the basics of combat, you’re going to die a lot. While it might be a good learning experience to some, it might very well become very frustrating.

Personally I would start with a guardian or ranger. These are more forgiving to play at first, but do not sell them short because it will take skill to master them. Warrior and necromancer are also fairly sturdy choices.

Thanks and i am also liking the necromancer, i am watching some youtube of class gameplay while i wait for patching to finish.

Yeah this game takes that to the next level. Almost everything above normal trash mobs can instakill you if you don’t dodge. Its usually well telegraphed though.

That is good to know, i love the games where i need to do and react on time and when the game finish with download i will see about the armor i get from heroic edition, and i think i will go with engineer

Server’s only really matter for WvW as in PvE all servers are mixed in together. You can look at the leaderboards here otherwise I’m going to be biased and recommend Aurora Glade. Here’s a current AG recruitment post -

This largely depends on the style of play you enjoy. Warrior and Ranger are generally considered to be the easiest classes to start with. Once again biased but I’d say Ranger. Just don’t camp Longbow. Try out the other weapons as some of the melee options are really good fun.

The armour set is account bound I believe so you can use it on multiple characters of the same armour class. Also you can use the skins at any point with transmutation charges.

I only have 2 suggestions.

1 – Don’t rush through. Enjoy the journey.
2 – Learn to dodge. Combat is active here so you will need to move and dodge to not die.

Hi all, i just bought GW2 and installing it as we speak. I have few questions to ask while it installs from CD and patch.

I am from EU, which server is recommended to start on?

Which class is easiest to play as new player?

Also i bought Heroic Edition and it says i get Suit of Legacy Armour, now is that for one character or account wide?

Any other info and suggestions are most welcome
