I find that trying to sell an item is somewhat frustrating, because there are several pieces of information that I need to look at in order to decide what price to sell something at, and almost none of it is available from the “sell your stuff” UI. I would like to see the UI reorganized to have there be a single page for an item that lets you buy, custom bid, or sell the item, without having to jump around to get more information about the current state of the economy for that item.
- Move the price inputs and the buy/bid buttons to be above the table of listings.
- Use the resulting whitespace to put both buy and bid listings next to each other, on the same UI screen.
- Have each table of listings include these columns:
– Price (as per current UI)
– Available / Orders (as per current UI)
– Players (as per the current sell screen, show how many players have offers for that price point)
– Sales per hour (or day, week, month; show how many transactions have happened at that price point in the past X time window; automatically pick a time window based on volume, as copper ore should be hour or day, while exotics should probably be week or month. Note that this means that some of the entries in the listing table will need to have “0” available, as there might have been a sale with none left at that price any longer! These rows in the table should probably be greyed out.)
– Yours (show how many offers the viewing player has active at that price. These should be highlighted in a non-white color).
- Collapse “19328 available” down to just “19 k”.
The “sell my stuff” options should also be present on this same page. This will mean that you can do everything interesting relating to an item from one page. Yes, this will result in a dense page, but by doing things like removing “available” from the body of the table will help free up some room.
Thanks for reading.
