since my last post here was deleted because i used the word ‘bump’ and said ‘i have nothing more to add this is a good idea’ which apparently Anet classes as ‘no meaningful content’ here is a second attempt at a reply!

I really like the idea, i agree that the downed state is sometimes futile to resist death and I would feel much happier killing myself before someone else did, even if they still get the player kill from it just so I could say I died honorably….

that meaningful enough Anet?

Elementalist Weapon Set

Not sure if you mean during combat or not, if you mean in combat i disagree, elementalists already have access to 20 skills jsut with one weapon set, adding another 20 to an already versatile set of skills would just be too powerfull, especially when it comes to using healing skills in water.

if you mean some kind of pre-set weapon sets to quickly swap to outside of combat, i agree, but for all classes I like to swap between using a combination of different weapons, would be nice to be able to do it quickly rather than sat on my character sheet outside of combat looking for the right weaps, a simple ‘save weapon set- equip weapon set 1,2,3 etc’ would be nice

why don't they balance world vs world?

WvW servers your face change regularly so it would make little to no difference changing realm, its only as imbalanced as the players make it, and to monitor player / realm stats in WvW would take time, the game has (officially) been out only 21 days with no big patch, im sure they are monitoring server performance.

I feel your pain but i see no suggestions here.

Either allow add ons or give us some way to measure our dps

Got to vote no again from me sorry,

DPS meters work well in games that support a Tank/Healer/DPS role but in GW2 its far too based on survival not on who can smack the hardest, putting a DPS meter in would only encourage players to ignore survival tactics and just spam DPS then those who do not and play safe would be moaned and mocked by other players who have high DPS, would just cause too much player arguing.

Toughness / Armour tooltips

Simple request.

Toughness and Armour indicator.

Currently we are told how much toughness we have and how much armour we have, but we are not told what exactly it does?

Of course it reduces incoming damage, but its all relative to…what exactly?

my point is I could have 10million toughness and it only reduce incoming damage by 2% or I could have 50 toughness and it reduce damage by 2%, we currently have no indication of how much toughness / armour actually helps us,

general rule of thumb – more toughness +armour less damage… but how much? A simple percentage tooltip would be nice.

Actually posted this a week or so ago in a different thread before the ‘suggestions’ forum was up (sorry for repost)

I can’t help but feel that the Elementalist pulled the shortest straw in downed abilities for survival. While downed nearly all other classes have some kind of quick mechanic (number 2 ability) that can stop a person trying to finish them off at least once. Arguably the Ranger also has this issue, however I feel their number 3 ability to make their pet rally them more than makes up for it.

Warrior – Hammer Toss – knock down
Guardian – Wave of Light – Push back
Engineer – Grappling line – Pulls enemies to you (and knocks them over)
Thief – Shadow Escape – Teleport away
Mesmer – Deception – Clone yourself making it harder for someone to know which one of you to finish off.
Necromancer – Fear – Make enemy run away from you
Elementalist – Grasping Earth – Immobilize. Whats the point in the immobilize if someone is in your face casing their finishing move on you?

I understand the combination is meant to work – Vapor Form + Immobilize where you left them and hope for some team mates to come revive you / kill them to rally you, however the 8 or so second gap of being downed till you can actually use Vapor form just seems far too long? in 8 seconds you could have been finished off 3 times over while just sat there immobilizing people that are stood right next to you.

All just seems a little ‘unfair’ for lack of better wording.
