Where are you guys finding these small scale battles?

I transferred to UW last week and have been a bit dissapointed with the enormous zergs from the FR.

I want to play my ranger, but it’s very counter-productive atm. Playing my thief i can somewhat pick off a noob here and there from the massive zergs but still…

I am looking for more of a small scale challenge as a solo roamer

RoS seems a nicer opponent than the germans from last week tho.

The settlers are primary toughness tho instead of the crafted primary HP

Wich one would be best to have in the end?

I’m trying to do something with my ranger, but I can’t decide what to do with it…

Mainly i want to roam solo, but as I also play a thief, i want to play the ranger with a bow.

I have been thinking about going trap build for this but havent found many vids showcasing builds for this…

Does anyone know about any good Trap Build vids?

Also should i go with sword/torch for extra condition dmg + evades?

I would like to be in a guild on Underworld tho, so i would be able to partake in everything. I am not one to swap guilds, if I’m in a guild, I’m in that guild and I’m not repping others etc…

I would transfer, but i just reluctantly payed €20 to transfer since my friends were on EU and i was on NA and we couldnt guest till i got the gold… (smart move Anet).

Maybe i should clarify my profile a bit more…

I played DAoC for years and years, then i tried every MMO that came out it feels like…
Finally GW2 seems like a good home and I’m having alot of fun with it since launch.

For those that played DAoC I played Thesa (nightshade) and Theseus (ranger) on Excalibur(EU) and later on Logem (shadowblade) on Merlin(US).

I prefer to WvW, but im not into the zerging, I prefer to solo roam 90% of the time, and maybe small man the other 10% with guildgroups.

I like to help out the guild tho with PVE content whenever I can.

I’m not sure, Vaacrow, if a WvWguild likes members like me that don’t really group up in WvW (but do in PVE as much as possible)

I am looking for a new home. I was in a little guild on Gunnar’s Hold wich i loved. They decided to move to Jade Quarry so i went with em.

Now the guild sadly is no more, and I have enjoyed my time in MYTH very much the last couple months.

Now, 2 of my IRL friends want to play GW again but they couldnt move to JQ because it is always full. So i was forced to transfer…

Now i am looking for a new guild on the server: Underworld.

I main a thief and usually solo roam about in WvW.
I also have a geared 80 ranger, and will level a new character with my friends.

If i’m not roaming I like to mix things up with doing dungeons and fractals, guild events etc…

Mainly i’d like a guild that works together and has some active chat even if there isn’t an event going on. The game is so much more fun if you can joke around and play with a group of guys/girls on a regular base.

I suppose clerics would be better for a SB/GS than Apoth?
What about the jewelry?

I’m trying out a carrion/rabid/sentinel mix with 25 20 20 5 0, this being my 1st attempt at WvW as a ranger i’m not sure how it would compare to other builds…

Im looking to solo roam and well… use the Bow.

I see what you are saying, I think i want to step away from the cat probably…

Hi all,

I started GW2 at launch with a Ranger, but then i switched to a Thief for my 1st WvW experience.

So now i want to try and play my ranger again, after some reading I decided to try the Catmaster build.

I use Rabid jewels and 4 Carrion armour / 2 sentinel armour pieces with Geomancy sigils

Now i tried it out in WvW a bit, and i find it very hard to kill… well anything really…

The pet is usually not constant enough as the enemies get away from it very easily.

Im using SB/GS atm so i try and keep my enemies crippled, dazed, chilled but still… i find im not doing enough dmg against most classes with the condition gear…

Do i just have to L2P or is my setup just completely bad?

If it’s the setup, do you have any suggestions on what to change?
