I would also pay real money just to revert this for my Sylvari. I can’t find a single dye that even resembles what I used to have going. I can’t believe that someone would actually get rid of the good existing textures to change it to this washed out textureless mess. With no warning towards players at all. It is a significant change.
Pictures (Before & After patch). Been using Grass and Fern dye. I can’t even get a similar “glow” on the armor without changing the armor to some super bright color since my sylvari glows a bright green.
I understand people wanted Glow. I never really cared either way if the armor had glow or not. The thought never crossed my mind that the armor would have to be practically downgraded in design in order to achieve glow. So disappointed.
This is spot on and sums my feelings well too. It’s a huge graphical downgrade to lose so much detail to make it look like well…horrible.
Right, from the thread linked above we can determine it’s not a bug. The pain is twice as sharp now
Sylvari medium T3 was already a challenging armour set to dye. Now it’s impossible without making it look kinda bland and detailess. The red that showed among the dyes was the armor sets saving grace.
I appreciate the efforts to bring more sylvari glow, it’s something I much like but after spending countless hours trying to get my style to look just right I do feel fairly disappointed that it was so ruined. I suppose there’s always people who won’t like thing X or Y, and it seems like it’s my turn now, but I much enjoyed that my armor had the same glow as my sylvari with the excellent colour combos of the pre-patch T3 armor.
If this is WAI with no fix in sight I suppose we sylvaris just have to start looking for new styles. I’m hoping that if the demand is strong, this could be something that could be rolled back as it was before. Anyways, thank you for coming and letting us know Kristen, I hope you’ll observe the feedback on this
I was super disappointed to log in and see that they had destroyed my style. I was wearing the Sylvari T3 medium, now it indeed looks very dull and simple, instead of the wealthier and more interesting reddish pre-patch version.
Both light and medium is bugged it seems.
I sincerely hope the change is a bug.
I highly, highly doubt it. I can only think of two options for this:
1) Your guildie is pulling your leg and is not actually getting those items. Unless she links the actual item every time, there’s no proof she ever got them. Sure, one can use an item code to make an item link in the window, without ever having the item. Or even if she does link them, she can simply use an existing item she got ages ago and not just then and there.
2) Your guidie is on a crazy streak of luck that is ought to eventually end.
Drop rates aren’t something you can do something about in your end with the exception of magic find. A hack that’d affect them is quite unimaginable, I think loot rolls are server side, not client side things.
So, pay no mind to it is my piece of advice. Afterall, it doesn’t affect your chances of getting good loot at all, it’s not that there’s a limited amount of those items in the world
This is a great thread, lot’s of very helpful material here! Instantly bookmarked.
Now let’s hope a passing by fellow with some superglue would sticky this.
Most of the time when embedding media into a webpage it’d require the use [embed][/embed] but I have never seen anyone embed anything into GW2 forums, so chances are that it won’t even work.
Might be that it’s disabled entirely here for a reason. I’d say, stick to links
Vial of Condensed Mist Essence is a collectible (like ores, wood, cores, ectoes, lodestones), so most of the time when it “disappears” you have accidentally deposited it into your collectibles tab.
So I advice you to head to your bank and search the collectibles tab for your Mist Essence
Apart from the off-hand sword which I feel we’re missing, I’d like nothing more than rapiers. Seems like a very nice thiefy weapon. And if we were to go down some more exotic paths, I want a tessen (essentially an iron fan used to block attacks).
