Flickering textures on Bridges in WvW

I thought this was a driver issue so I’ve rolled back my driver twice after using 2 different versions. Tried messing with some settings in-game and on my CCC (amd program) with nothing fixing it. Even upgraded to new 64-bit client to see if that did anything, which it helped improve my load times and overall game performance, but did nothing for the flickering textures. So hopped on my Nvidia laptop just to see if it happened on a different computer and it does the exact samething.

To be more specific I’ve only notice it happen on the bridges in Eternal Battlegrounds. I don’t know if this is a common thing and I just never noticed it, or that I’m just an unlucky person with 2 computers with the same problem.

I attached a screenshot showing what the texture looks like when you line it up perfectly but if you was to see it in motion you would see alot of flickering. If you notice it looks alot like the textures along the wall.

Bump, I’m very close to RMA’ing my card but its gonna be such a huge inconvenience. Can anyone shed some light on the matter and maybe reassure me that I shouldn’t.

One more thing, my 7850 seems to get low gpu usage somewhere between 40%-65%

So ever since I got the game now I’ve had this flickering problem that happens at different intervals and its usually just a piece of terrain or some background that flickers quickly, usually a white flicker. I’ve tested several settings, different drivers, tinkered with CCC and still no prevail. The card is a HiS 7850 IceQ.

Well last night I decided to take out the 7850 and pop in a 5550 just to see if it flickered, I had to run all the settings on low but I had also ran the 7850 on low earlier, and I got no white flicker and it even seemed somewhat better gameplay except for the fact that everything was on low. Before using the 7850 had high fps but sometimes when I turned the fps would dip and would hit like 40 fps. That kinda dip from 50-70 fps would feel like a spike and would be very unenjoyable. Anyways back on topic my question here is why am I getting this white flicker and the steep spikes on my 7850 but the 5550 renders no white flickering and somewhat stable fps.

I have: HiS 7850 IceQ
Phenom II 965 BE
8 gb DDR3 Memory
Thermaltake 600 Watt PSU
ASRock 880GM-LE FX AM3+ Motherboard

Every once and awhile I get these very quick white flickers when turning corners or maybe adjusting camera angle, not sure. It sometimes happens frequently but I’ve came across long periods of times where I didn’t notice it. Not sure if its directly related to my graphics card being as I just bought it and its new, Radeon HD 7850, being maybe a dud card or if it was drivers or maybe the game has some trouble with the 7xxx series like someone told me and just needs to be patched out.

I did rollback to a different driver, the 12.7 beta, was currently using the 12.8 with cap. Does anyone have any information or fixes for this problem? I would provide a screenshot but it happens so fast and random that its too hard to capture but its bothersome and I don’t wanna have to just deal with it.
