Well, what would be the point of a competition if there were no rewards for winning?

Should they remove the price for winning NHL as well, since not all teams are equal?

Nope. I’ll just join the best team. Everyone wins, right? No problem there?

take a lead and build a community.. there were quite few servers that fell down completely and raised by supporting wvw community

get real, would olympics be really that fun if everyone got gold?

The problem is that Anet should NOT be promoting server transfers as this damages the community. Last summer, a major WvW guild, ALS, left our server. I’ve been told that other guilds have followed suit and, as a result, have left AR in its current state.

I admire your attempt to provide an analogy, but you fail to recognize the situation at hand. In the olympics, the gold medal is symbolic of first place, or victory. We already have this and it’s the current WvW ranking system. The prize money, however, is a different story.

There are gonna be plenty of people who finish the meta, that barely contributed anything to their server during the seven weeks. But, sadly, they get the same reward as the people who worked hard to get their server to finish where it does.

What about all of the players on Anvil Rock that work their butts off just for the slight chance that we might get second place? We simply don’t have enough players for WvW. It doesn’t matter if our WvW players are gods of theory crafting, organization, strategy, and combat (which we are not). In the end it’s just a matter of who has the bigger zerg. It’s kind of funny because that’s what determines your “server performance.”

Why don’t you step into my shoes for a moment? Know that you can do NOTHING to stop defeat. How does that make you feel?

Why you do this? I play in Anvil Rock and I find it incredibly disappointing knowing that I’ll get rewards from that reward chest WORSE than someone from another server with a strong WvW community for the SAME AMOUNT OF EFFORT.

-We want to promote WvW activity because people would notice that the rewards int he chest are based off of server performance!
Nice try, the servers are staying where they are in terms of WvW activity and rank, especially Anvil Rock.

-WvW is team oriented so quit whining.

THE MOST POWERFUL REWARDS? What a joke.
And I get, considering this is AR, presumably the worse possible rewards just because I’m on a different server — a server that happens to have small WvW player count.

Honestly Anet, you’re just making servers like Jade Quarry and Blackgate more enticing. You’re essentially screwing over all of the loyal WvW players on Anvil Rock.

It’s not like you get more loot every dungeon run just because your server is proficient at running dungeons.
It’s not like you get more cosmetics in sPvP because your server has the top sPvP players.
Why should it be for WvW?

I’m on Anvil Rock and Northern Shiverpeaks has been trebbing Overlook Keep from Stonemist for quite some time now. Even after the wall fell, the trebber kept firing and hitting nothing. He’s still doing it and it’s been around 10 minutes since the wall fell. I think it’s a botter, but maybe people enjoy shooting at nothing?
