Guild Wars 2

I’ve been doing some searching and I’m not having any luck finding someone else asking this, so…

I’ve been enjoying the game for about a year now and currently I’ve gotten 3 characters to lvl 80 – a Ranger, a Warrior, and a Thief. All 3 were leveled through regular world PvE, personal storyline, quests, etc. I’ve ventured into WvW with each of them a few times though and just really haven’t loved my time in there.

I’d like to start focusing more on WvW now though because I really love the idea of it, but I think I’d enjoy it a lot more if I went in as a dedicated healer/support role. I know each profession can be built to lean more towards healing/support, but unless I’m missing something, I don’t believe any of the characters I’ve leveled are properly suited to excel at it.

So, that being said, I’m looking for some recommendations on which profession, when traited and geared with the sole purpose of WvW healing/support would be “the best”, the preferred, the most valuable to have around, the one you’d want by your side during a huge battle and so on…?
