Guilds in Lore

That was kinda my thought as well. But since something like the Shining Blade would be a guild, wouldn’t the other two branches (Ministry Guard and Seraph) also be guilds? Along with the other races, like Adamant Guard, Wolfborn, and so on? It just seems to make sense. In reality, there’s guilds all the time (Quilting guilds, trades guilds and you might argue that unions are a sort of guild). so by that logic, could you argue that major in game organizations, lore based and player driven, would all be considered guilds?

What is player character's "power level"?

We’re probably on par with DE members by now (Legendary status) but We’re by no means gods walking amongst mere mortals. Anise and Jennah still out class all of DE combined. (When your queen summons an entire illusory army to fight freshly made dragon minions to save Ascalon, that’s kinda hard to beat). So are we as players kitten? Sure. Are we OP? Definitely not.

So, this is probably a redundant question, and if it has been answered somewhere in the past, by all means, please link me. My question is the standing of what is a guild in Guild Wars 2. Specifically in relation to the nations. IN GW1 we are given to understand that Adelbern, King of Ascalon, led his guild in the last Guild War against Kryta. Unless I’m totally missing something (admittedly possible) would this not mean he led his military against Kryta? Would this then support that the current military branches are guilds as well? ( Shining Blade, Adamant Guard, Wardens, etc). Also, by extension, would non combatant entities like business, noble houses and so on also potentially function as guilds?

Seconded, the rapier sword skin is awsome, would love to see it or a variation of it (not TOO different mind) in game. It’s a popular sword design/style and would add to the variety of weapon appearances available, particularly for those who favor a lighter, more refined weapon as opposed to the more typical english/german/nordic longsword designs
