First, thank you so much for the new client!
I am having the issue where the game behaves as if the ctrl key is being held down (If I press ‘1’, the game responds as if I pressed ctrl-‘1’. This is if I use my usb keyboard, gaming mouse, or the macbook’s built in keyboard.
Sometimes I am missing textures in the character select.
Using:
MacBook Pro (Retina 13 inch, early 2015)
Processor 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB ram
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

Logitech gaming mouse (forgot the model, logitech’s version of the Naga), Razer Chroma keyboard.

Just want to say I am experiencing the same issue. I play with a Razer Naga 2014 and a Razer Tartarus Chroma. Very frustrating issue forcing a restart of the game!

I was super excited when this was first released, but I quickly realized that it was not a playable client. It is far less reliable than the original Mac client provided by Anet. I have consistent crashing every 1-2 hours of play, no idea what the cause is.

My specs are:
iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, Late 2015)
Processor 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i5
Memory 24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB

When it plays, it looks and runs smoother than the older client, but with the amount of crashing I can’t play it. Also, I too am experiencing this keyboard lockup issue.

Does anyone have this amount of crashing with this kind of a system? If anyone has any suggestions please throw them my way!

Please help!

Over the past several months my performance has steadily decreased to what has recently been an utterly unplayable state. My FPS averages between 6-10. I’ve read other Mac users experiencing similar issues, particularly in the wake of the most recent update. At any rate, I had not totally deleted the application from my computer and reinstalled it since my initial download of the game when the Mac Beta was first released.
I proceeded to delete the application as instructed, as well as press and hold Option -> Go -> Libraries -> Application Support -> Guild Wars 2, moving the entire folder to trash as well.
Upon deletion, I restarted my computer, then moved to reinstall the client from ArenaNet. I downloaded the file, went through the process successfully, and the application itself now appears in my Applications folder. It opened automatically and patched, updated, etc. After those patches completed, the login screen should appear as it has in the past for me. But it doesn’t. Nothing happens. Only the icon remains open on my dock.
I’ve gone through deleting all of the files again and again, reinstalling, restarting, etc. All these Mac issues I’ve been having lately are really discouraging. I’d really like some help/acknowledgment from Anet on the state of the Mac client. I really want to pay for HoT; but, why would I if I can’t even open the client? Please please help!!
Another note: I’ve never posted my system specs publicly here before. Given my specs, shouldn’t I be able to run GW2 smoothly? I’d love feedback.
Thanks in advance.

I’d really, really appreciate some word on Anet’s plans for the future of the Mac client! I used to play very frequently with 20-30 fps. For several months this year I’ve had fps at an unplayable level of around 10-15. Sometimes I’d hit 20 when standing still in a simple area. Now I’m averaging 6-10. This problem is getting worse.
I’ve been playing these games for years and really want to preorder and play HoT, but I’m not so sure I’m going to do that if this problem isn’t addressed. I really doubt I’m the only one. Please Anet, throw us a bone here!
