thank you for the inputs, appreciate it. i will look to adjust to axe/sword instead of hammer. hammer just dont do enough damage to burst down in 1v1 for me atm :/

hi all,

i have took a break from this game for 2 months. i have not played any pvp since the update. i returned to pvp today with my very standard hambow warrior 626 celestial build.

i am surprised to find myself not been able to do what i used to be capable of. face roll necromancers, 1v1 with any class other than mesmers and roam efficiently to cap and decap points.

Is that my problem or any1 has/had the same problem as i do? or hambow is an outdated build or any other reasons. i would love to hear any advice from the fellow warriors in pvp.

i would love to improve and get back on track with pvp. please help me! thx

this is where anet should step up and improve their dishonorable system.

like i suggested 1st offense 3 days ban, 2nd a week, 3rd a month,etc will surely put these noobs back to hotjoin (where they belongs) and leave competitive pvpers in a quality rated match.

but ofc its anet, what matters to them is getting pve players into pvp so they can show the fancy stats to their upper head about how successful they promoted pvp in this game .

in the mean time they completely ignoring and destroying the quality of pvp.

the only solution to this is do a pre-made and play team Q.

yes it is troublesome to wait for 4 other members of ur team everytime u want to pvp but its way better than having whole bunch of noobs ruining your game.

absolute horror from anet.

the dishonor system only activates if u leave 3 times within 3 days. these ppl claim they dc and got the dishonor buff is clearly lying.

they have/had left their team to lose 2 times within 3 days in prior to their so claimed “dc due to ddos”.

and please, do not tell me u dc 3 times within 3 days all due to ddos attacks, but lucky for u these anet staffs will believe anyway LOL.

u letting these noobs walk away like nothing now will only encourage these noobs go in and ruin the game for serious pvpers.

dishonor system needs to be more punishing, it is the only way to save pvp.

i love the auto dishonorable buff, that is the only thing i keep in faith of solo Q.

but i think the ban should be more punishing, 1st offense auto ban 3 days, 2nd a week, 3rd a month etc.

those who dc because of ddos, i m sorry about that but its better to catch the wrong guy than letting the noobs get away.

those who been “engaged” in real life, stay there and dont play solo Q.

those who got owned and left, u totally deserved the ban, enjoy the hotjoin!

The OP was only talking about hotjoins, aware that his skills did not allow him to play at arena level. Did you even bother reading his post? Why so aggressive?

Besides, I’ve always found that most people insult one another not because of the lack of skill of fellow players, but because they lack skills themselves. Rather than recognizing the fact and acting upon it, they prefer to rage and blame the opponent or the mates.

Reporting and blocking players is unfortunately the proper way. They’ll see their remarks ignored, which will fuel their rage even more and have them utter more insults, until they quit or are banned for good.

if they only rage with only “noobs” or other words without proper statement then i would agree with u.

unfortunately most of the time these noobs are yelled at exactly what they are doing wrong, double cap, 3 zerg far, random fights out of cap etc.

nobody cares about getting reported after abusing a noob, and they probably will fail to ban us anyway.

ppl get kittened being killed in pvp it happens in every competitive game. whats so surprise about it? go play a dota game and u will know the gw2 so called “insults” are just kindergarten level.

its funny seeing all these people crying about not getting legendaries.

ledgendary weapons are suppose to be the best weapons u can get in this game and yes it should be very rare and hard to get.

the best weapons should always require both hard work and luck to obtain. if u dont have luck oh guess what? work harder for another 1k gold to buy a precursor. big deal.

giving out easy obtainable precursor will make everybody to have a legendary and whats the point having it if its so common that everybody standing next to u carrying the same weapon as u have?

if that happens y do u have those rarity grade in game when the best weapons become so common?

so NO to easy way to get precursors, work harder or use other weapons.

Play a build that can have a big impact on the game and be good enough to carry. Also be flexible try and read you team mates intention. If two people are going far at start is it wise for you to go mid and just die? Regardless of whether your team mates do the right strategy or not I find arguing never helps just adapt. You cant win em all and some days you will have a bad day. Though 55% to 45% maybe you are off your game.

appreciate your advice. i cant help with my own when 90% of the game i have some1 follow me to double cap everywhere, 3 zerg stay in mid ,etc too many examples i cant even list them all what i face everyday. i m simply asking them to go back hotjoin or pve and leave soloQ for ppl have some idea what they are doing. i m not saying they need to win every 1v1 get on top of scoreboard etc.

obviously knowing what u hv to do b4 coming in is too much to ask POLITELY, so we have to do the rude way and help the current status of soloQ.

I agree that because someone is new that they should stay in the appropriate areas. But to be fair, someone with 55%, now 45%, win rating really doesn’t have room to talk to anyone. I do maybe one to two solo q’s a day( rest is team ) and I’m only at 404 on Solo Q leaderboards. You can’t just expect people to know what to do, especially in solo q. I vote there be a tiered system. After you reach a certain amount of tourney wins you can then move on to next tier and so on. I feel that would at least HELP the problem. I agree that people who don’t know what they are doing should stay in hotjoins but the best way to avoid losing a solo q and being paired with bad people is not solo qing like Romek.4201 said.

sry but 55% is hotjoin lvl when not worse and all this bad people are in the correct spot

2 quality tips for you:
when you wanna leave this 55% range than just press buttons
when you dont like soloQ than dont join soloQ

i will keep joining and yelling at these noobs . thx for the quality tips tho

if i ever get banned for contributing to the greater cause which is keeping noobs playing in arena so be it. the important thing is this message needs to be send loud and clear.
