I suspect someone else will have said something similar but i would still like to put my opinion out there.
I would have to agree that cantha should be included but not for a long while. there is still plenty of story to go through before you reach cantha and so many directions they can go. Dont feel compelled to instantly produce and release it due to what is said in here, hint at its continued existance and maybe add little parts to the lore of what happened after it was lost from tyrians.
Personally i think the expansions will work like this. In the first year or so they’ll expand the current map to investigate the other dragons, desert for kralkatorrik, the north for jormag, a dungeon series for primordious (or the depths of tyria) and the sea and ring of fire for ‘Bubbles’ (also the magumma for the Mordremoth). I like to think that will be how the dragon story expands. my suspision is after each dragon is defeated in tyria (aside from zhaitan) a new expansion may be released for Elona, theres plenty of hints as to elona continuing due to stories of palawa joko and the mordant cresent. for each dragon another expansion will be released such as the farnorth/isle of janthir for jormag, more dungeons for primordious, the magumma and far west (please oh please utopia(look it up)) for mordremoth and for ‘bubbles’ a underwater continent. My suggestion would be to have the bubbles fight in a dungeon set in the sunken battle isles and then expand into cantha instead. meaning all original gw1 continents are remade. i wouldnt mind it being a few years away as you would still have to go through elona and ‘bubbles’ first but it would be fantastic to refind some of the most amazing design of the asian style. it was one of my most memorable moments of gw1 of just exploring shing jea and listening to the music of the area.
this is of course just my opinion but i hope it is read, if anyone has any corrections for me please do, im a lore nerd and more is accepted
