Highly recommend Devona’s Rest. Basically every guild on DR cares about their fight game. You could move there and find friends within [TBT], [WZ], [Zs], [BRL], [HoD], [RED], [DmD], [SM], [kYrO], [VOX], [TAS]…. the list goes on and on.
TBT, WZ, and Zs are all into zerg-busting. All of the other guilds definitely have strong fighters as well. If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer them.
Welcome to DR, Skosh :-)
Still recruiting. We field about 15 people every night in the borderlands. Come see what [RED] is all about!
[RED] has been here since launch, ~430 active members at the moment, NA prime time we have 40-50 people online. We are a 100% rep guild, and our members are proud to do so. I’ll find you in-game and we can talk.
Bump for DR, a strong server only getting stronger. We’re now a serious contender in Silver League, and our attitudes are only improving! Come check out Devona’s Rest!
DmD wrecks the OCX slot! If you’re up late on the west coast or part of OCX, check our DmD for sure!
Love TBT. You guys are a guild other guilds aspire to be. If you’re on DR and looking for a hardcore experience, check out TBT!
From what I have heard from people on DR or that have recently transferred off, DR is about as non-toxic as a nuclear waste dump. Not sure if that is confirmed to be true, but that is the word on the street.
I wholeheartedly disagree. DR guilds are working together on a scale never seen before. There may be some trash talking towards some members of SF and SoR, but people (on DR’s internal website) have actually brought up the fact that such things are uncharacteristic and unbecoming of the server, and it is now discouraged.
This sort of discourse wouldn’t occur on a toxic server. That being said, I’m one who always sees room for improvement
On Devona’s – Sviddy and Petite, of course!
Hey,
Just wanted to mention that DR has one of the healthiest server environments in GW! Guilds here help others, rather than hinder.
Sick of your toxic server? Come to DR!
Greetings,
[RED] is a social guild that has flourished on DR since launch. We’re consistently between 400 and 450 active guild members. Our guild is very good at:
- WvW: We have several skilled, active commanders on NA prime time and a large group of dedicated WvW players. On a typical reset night, we’re typically found holding down and fortifying half our BL.
- Guild Missions: We do guild events twice a week and have done so regularly for over a year.
We also have plenty of players who do dungeons, fractals, and PvP.
[RED] places a lot of importance on providing an atmosphere where everyone is comfortable.
[RED] requires that:
- Players only rep our guild
- Chat is PG13ish
Contact Praettor, X Arvin, or Svidangit in-game for any more details, or check us out at http://red-guild.com
If you’re interested, but transfer costs are a hindrance, get in touch anyway and perhaps we can work something out.

Hi,
We have guilds large and small, social and hardcore. We have a great night crew. DR has a healthy, non-toxic community where we are more interested in moving up as a server and as players than pinning each other for faults.
If you are interested in our server feel free to find me in-game or visit DevonasRest.org
NO, DR is the community we have been a part of since joining the game and our loyal friends are here.
Same – absolutely not.
DR is like those little pristine areas of Bloodtide Coast surrounded by Zhatain’s corruption.
Well, Grim, you can find it ONE other place on DR
e: [HoD] really gives other guilds on Devona’s Rest something to shoot for – if you want a guild that really pushes your skills forward, consider ’em!
We don’t have a large WvW population in that time slot, but some of our night crew (FN guild) are the most hardcore players on Devona’s Rest. Check us out if you’re interested :-)
Devona’s Rest isn’t dead. Many guilds, including RED, HoD, BRL, havc, FN, and others have great crews that you can run with. Check out DevonasRest.org for times/guilds/events.
Hope you find that it’s still fun here,

I would really appreciate some feedback from ArenaNet on this. It would be nice if this was acknowledged as an issue. One of the reasons that Devona’s Rest is hemorrhaging players and guilds is that we are no longer convinced that this issue will ever be addressed.
There are many threads on this issue or issues related to it. Many are rude and inflammatory towards ArenaNet and I can understand why ArenaNet’s WvW-focused employees do not wish to participate in that conversation. However, many of us are silently, patiently, and anxiously awaiting some communication from ArenaNet.
Please consider this, ArenaNet.
Thank you,

It is not useful to say things like, “ArenaNet doesn’t care.” ArenaNet builds software, which takes time. They have finite resources and constantly must decide what is important to them. What is important to you as a singular player may be in conflict with their decisions.
Having said that, the purpose of this thread is to bring this concern into ArenaNet’s eyes. By voicing your opinion on the questions I posed, there is a greater chance that ArenaNet will decide that addressing this issue is important.
I avoided speculating on possible solutions in the original post as I didn’t want this thread to discuss the merits of such speculation, but it’s too fun a topic to avoid. In my opinion, this problem could be best solved by decoupling WvW from a player’s home world.
Players could register to participate in whatever world they please. Registrations would be locked for the WvW seasons (excluding new accounts). During the off-season, a registration would last until the next reset. I think this is awesome because it would provide a period of time where guilds and players could rub elbows with strangers during WvW. It would also allow ArenaNet to enforce registration policies that encourage better distribution of WvW policies.
Hi, I’m Prae Tor, leader of RED, which is one of the largest and longest-lasting guilds on Devona’s Rest.
Prior to WvW Season 1, we had a mass exodus of players from DR to better-performing servers. Post Season 1, we are having another. “Mass”, of course, is relative, and I am speaking in terms of the active WvW population on Devona’s Rest.
I understand that there will always be people and guilds transferring servers. However, I think that the lack of balance in WvW for situations like ours is a solvable problem and would increase the overall health of servers at the low-end of WvW. I feel that the game should provide mechanisms to enable the lower-populated servers a means to seriously compete against servers with significantly higher WvW populations.
With that topic in mind, I have some questions for my fellow WvWers (and of course, ArenaNet employees):
- Should there be gameplay adjustments to compensate for population difference?
- Should populations be normalized across servers?
- Do you think that there is a server-health problem for worlds performing poorly in WvW?
While I do want to speculate on a possible mechanism for balancing gameplay, the discussion of if there is an issue is presently more important.
Thank you for your thoughts and opinions.
