Yeah the reason they have so much health and armor though is because for some reason all condition armor is all about defence. I do run a condtion build which I do run in Spvp so I know they are strong but, I just dont want to gear up for pve right now with a possible nerf on the ONE rune that makes the build lol. So is the only option to play condition or suck vs warriors and theif?
This is my exact build with the food buffs I use. I think so far what it is from what you have been saying is I need to stay away from the warriors… Which I find hard sense they have enough gap closers’ I honestly feel they could catch me from 3k distance if they wanted to anyways lol.
So I have been playing mesmer for about 2 months now (first toon I created and got to 80) On him right now I am running a 0/20/20/0/30 shatter build when I roam in WvW and use the -40% food and sharpening stones. Geared just like in the shatter cat guide. The issue is when I run vs warriors, theifs, and any condi build it seems like I am blow apart before I can react typically. If I happen to notice the theif that lays a lot of the pressure off but vs warriors I cannot seem to beat them any advice?
I find some of these post really funny… For one even if the opposing server has all 3 and you are doing a 10 on 10 fight…. it would be easier then a 10 vs 11 fight. I know if you have done any real number of hours in WvW you have fought groups larger then yours and won so if you really want GvG then go to do matches of 8v8 (good ol’ GW1 days)
The other thing is to you “Hardcore guilds that make the world go around”. On my server DarkHaven we had two of our “Best” WvW guilds leave 3 weeks ago. To me I don’t really feel like anything has changed. All that happened is new guilds formed and new commanders came out of the wood works.
Yeah I like the Mystic sword. That one seems like it might be the one I go with.

Finding good looking one handed swords really is hard. Almost all of them are so huge that they should be greatswords :P[/quote]
This is super annoying to me lol. And most of the daggers are big enough to be a short sword…
The wiki doesn’t have all of them I will try Dulfy though.
Yeah so I am looking for a really small 1 handed sword for my Mesmer’s off hand (dagger size would be perfect). So far I found a sword called “Sickle” that is about the same size as a gathering one but it doesn’t really fit the style I am going for (lol) Any help would be much appreciated.
I dont know about # crunching but to me personally it seems like once you hit 80% crit you shouldn’t stack it any longer unless you have no way to get fury and solo roam a ton in WvW.
TlDR Find a happy medium…
It is slower then some other stuff I should say. It is only as fast as your zerg can move with down time between each place. So if every gate was down and all you had to do was cap I would say it was really fast lol.
Where are the best places to get karma? I have been doing wvw, but that has always been slow, so I was wondering if there was some magical way people found yet?
The issue isn’t that they just nerfed events but they lowered karma gain in dailies, monthlies, and I don’t think I have seen one drip of karma drop from a champ bag. So it was a triple wammy which was stupid because I need 160 more shards haha.
All I have to say is…
The Minstrel…
Good day.
Focus + Superior Rune of the Air + Mirrior = Near unlimited swiftness…. If you want to run dont complain because your exact set up doesn’t allow for it.
“QQ I lost to the class because they run faster” B.S lol
EDIT: Another thought. If these tools were account bound, it would be incredibly inconvenient to have to constantly transfer them from character to character. If you bought them for convenience rather than a long term investment, you kinda can’t complain that they aren’t account bound because of the above point.
That would be a reason people that have money would buy more then 1….. If you are cheap then you will buy one (or none because you are cheap). Then the people with money in RL will buy a set from multiple toons anyways.
Yeah if it was a one time consumable that would be really pointless lol. I do agree with the gathering tool replica or just having a gw1 template style. Really to take it farther you could even do it where outside of matches in pvp you could have build swaps on the fly. It is such a simple idea (probably a little hard to program) but for being a state of the art game it is missing basic features.
So one of the issues I have with this game is at times it seams like it claims to have lots of options for build… So why are build’s so annoying to change. I mean this in the way of traits. I am one of the few players that wants to have a PVE build and 2 different style of WvW builds at the same time. I have two idea’s really of how this could work.
#1. Is copy WoW and make it so we can unlock multiple sets of them. At 5g ea or so this would allow players to buy them but it would’t pay off at first. It would just be a simple change over that you could do any time out of combat.
#2. Is make an item that you can buy from skill trainers for the same cost that it would be to change them. It would be a consumable that would reset your traits or allow you to load old build you have saved.
Both of these could be really easy fixes to a game that wants build diversity but for some reason people run the same build in all formats even if it isn’t as good because they don’t want to take 5-10 mins out of their play time to change it. The issue of “well in the middle of some random thing they could change builds” to me really wouldn’t matter because it means they have to carry a whole new set of gear anyways if they change from something like zerker GS to staff condition (mes.)
Anyways thoughts, comments, concerns?
