Stuck on 17/18 because the poisonous urchins never spawn in Lashoosh village, Snowden Drifts.
To me, “Inventory option: mark green rarity sigils as junk” would be handy, considering how many I get from using a copper-fed.
EVERYTHING that is consumable and stacks (with the exception of wvwvw blueprints and boosters) should have a “consume all” option. I have enough karma to max the drinking title through ales from the vendor in cragstead but the thought of double-clicking through thousands and thousands of ales is very off-putting.
Last night we had a three-way event, consortium and priory against the inquest with a fair number of players on both teams…..we still failed. It was embarrassing. Other players were ignoring the golemancers and then wondering why the golems weren’t taking damage.
I really do not understand why is not such a change announced in advance.
Technically it was announced, but not very widely.
Understandably the general feeling here is that this is an engineered situation to get more key sales in the gem store. I take a different view, that this is also to clear excess scraps and tickets in players inventories following the “increased contract %ge and crystalised thingamyjig” of the past few days. I think more players bought keys and chests than may be apparent from reading these forums……personaly, I bought 100 keys and opened a total of about 200 chests over the past few days, and although most of it was rubbish, I did get some decent items including enough scraps and tickets to buy almost two complete sets of weapons. I could buy a complete set or just cherry-pick the best ones from future sets for a long time to come (usually only a couple of good ones in ach set anyway), but the latter option will likely mean I don’t buy any more keys and chests for the foreseeable future. So, would Anet prefer to offer something more ‘exclusive’ (i.e. can’t be bought on the trading post) to tempt me to use the tickets now? For the record, I’m not impressed with this new set….
I’m glad I bought a GoB yesterday morning for “Big spender” before the patch arrived.
Sounds like you might have hit the brick wall that is “Diminishing returns”…..not only does it affect your drops from kills, but also lowers the amount of xp you get from completing events. If you’ve been sticking to the same map, you need to move your character to another map and do a few events to reset the DR.
It take you to royal terrace with no WP charge any place in PvE but instance. Do not take you back where were before use it.
Thank you for the information. So when you leave the instance it dumps you outside the terrace in DR?
Does the royal terrace pass teleport your character there from anywhere in the pve map and return you back to the same spot when you’re finished (like the home instance portal stone does), or does your character need to be in Divinity’s Reach to use it? The wiki page is rather bereft on info regarding the functionality of this item…..

When was the last time ANet changed the cash shop because they feel the cash shop item was too unfair?
I remember when they released the flaming armour skins (I forget the name…), and the light skin was based on the tier 3 human racial armour. We kicked up enough fuss that they had to change the skin to a flaming version of the feathered crafting skin. Maybe not directly analogous here, but there is a precedent for Anet changing the gem store stuff if the player base is vocal enough.
I’ve been looking forward to having shared inventory available for my characters (14 so far) for some time, but when I saw the price I was disappointed. 2800 gems for a bag slot would have been reasonable, in my opinion, but for just five item slots it’s too much. At least half of my characters have a set of permanent tools, and even with what’s just been made available in the gem store I don’t regret getting those because I got the tool sets to match the characters. However, I understand why some players who bought multiple passes, salvage-o-matics, tools etc are getting angry for being denied refunds.
If it was 2800 gems for a shared bag slot I would get one, and a copper-fed, and I’d start looking at getting boosters and black lion salvage kits as well, but as it is it’s too much for too little, even as a quality of life purchase.
I ‘maxxed’ the repeatable bell choir achievement (20AP) and it hasn’t registered in the meta list.
I went through acts 1 and 2 on my norn warrior and aside from getting the acknowledgement of completing the story parts I wasn’t able to do any of the achievements. I then went through the story on my sylvari guardian, and I was able to do the achievement where you help the sylvari resist the call of mordremoth. However, in prisoners of the dragon it wouldnt let me do peer review or the smiths, but it did recognise the achi where you have to land in the lit circle. So it appears that some of the access to achievements are unlocked for the account after running through the story first time. Personally, I wish that access to all the achievements was account bound after running through the story first time.
They were rewards for map completion in dry top, silverwastes and southsun shore, and loads of players have just received them now that map completion for those zones has been fixed in the recent patch for characters that already had world completion.
Warrior rifle 5 (rifle butt) has knockback.
About a month ago I decided that I would make a male asuran rev, and made a lvl 1 trash character to bag the name I wanted. This morning I deleted that character to make my asuran rev “The Legendary Nerf”.
Bone pick is already back in the store, so hopefully the other two will make an appearance over the next couple of weeks.
edit: just checked the gemstore and it’s been removed! Bone pick is no longer there….

My first character, about a week after the game launched, had got to the point in the norn storyline where you have to defend the priory outpost in Snowden Drifts against the dredge attack. After successfuly defending the outpost, the mission marker on the mini-map updated to inside the outpost and told me to talk to the priory representative running the place. I couldn’t see the rep even though I was standing right on the star according to the mini-map. Talking to an asuran there on the spot wasn’t doing anything to progress the story. Thinking it was a bug, I submitted a ticket to support and restarted the mission, but the same thing happened again. I left it a week and then tried again, but still no joy. During this time, other bugged storylines were being fixed, so I thought I’d be patient and left it there for a couple of months. I tried it a couple more times, submitting bug reports, and then left it another month. Thinking that Anet must have fixed it by then, I tried the mission one last time – killed the dredge, went in the building to where the marker indicated, panned the camera, saw the stairs at the back of the room leading upstairs…….
They’ve never been worth buying keys for, and the recent patch that apparently raised the loot drop rate of chests and keys only appears to be working for chests….
As for how many chests you need to open to get scraps and tickets, dulfy did a small sample that gives an indication…..

1v1 dueling in open world is already available. Just go to wvwvw and don’t run around with the zerg. There will always be other non-zerg players on the opposing side roaming around who will oblige you with the combat you seek.
I’m running pretty much the same rig (760 instead of your 770) and I’m getting 60fps in LA with almost everything maxxed (terrain and sky, no shadows, character limit to medium). Overclocking doesn’t go down well with GW2, but have you updated the mb bios, seated the 770 in the correct pci slot?
I made the exact same change a couple of years ago and got improvements in fps, but recently nvidia have been having trouble with their drivers. It looks like the new drivers are ‘only’ optimised for the 9xx series, and some sites are suggesting that the drivers actually hobble older series like the 7xx. I’m running 350.12 (it’s labelled as the GTA V driver) and that was the last ‘stable’ driver for the 7xx series. If you’re running driver 353.xx (you said your drivers are up to date) you could try running this one and see if that helps.

I don’t think we’ll get to fight Kralkatorrik…..by the time Anet get around to doing that particular expansion, I reckon the player base will be bored of fighting dragons as the big baddy. As such, the storyline will more likely be along the lines of us having to fight Palawa Joko, who has recently become emboldened by his defeat of Kralkatorrik, and is eyeing expansion of his territory Northwards. Hopefully by then, Anet will have optimised the game engine enough to allow large scale players vs. Joko’s army battles that don’t descend into low figure fps.

Can anyone confirm that this has been fixed, as since the last patch the challenge mote has appeared every time I enter the instance? Takes a few seconds for the mote to appear once Marjorie has completed her first walk to the steps.
Because there’s no Nvidia game profile for GW2. Ever wondered why the game is so badly optimised for gpu use? ANet decided not to work with Nvidia and AMD when developing the engine……

The warrior trait sweet revenge, which is supposed to give you 100% chance of rallying if you kill an enemy, is not triggering on vengeance kills made in LS2 story mode. Noticed this in the instances where you fight aerin and the fort salma instance.
I’ve opened about 25 chests so far and had 3 unidentified insects from them. The interesting thing that I noticed, however, was that when I received them I had around 200 geodes in my inventory (201, 207, and 197). Crafted the staff so far.
I hope they add a few extra coins for both achievements. I got 30/30 for the second ap track, but I’m stuck on 28/30 for the original track…..the kicker being that I’ve been through the dulfy guide video and I know that I have 29 already (the 30th is in the inquest mine, which I know I haven’t gotten yet). Even if I get the inquest mine coin, I’ll still be on 29/30 and the blasted ap will forever be laughing at me from the front page of the ap tab in the hero panel.
Might be a good idea to avoid speed groups or running groups advertising in the LFG until you’ve done the dungeon a few times already. The speed groups will want to do it as quick as possible and can have little tolerance for players who don’t know exactly what to do. The running groups will get you in right before the last boss, so you’ll miss most of the content.

The monster in the background of that screenshot was The Leviathan, which was supposed to be a world boss event in Viathan Lake, Kessex Hills. For some reason, it was never added and we got the krait witch event instead.
The charr stealth heart annoyed the hell out of me when I did it on my first two characters. I could get to the third flag but anything after that was too difficult……until I figured out a little trick on my third character that allowed me to reach the last flag every time without being spotted by the charr. Reach the last flag three times and it completes the heart……but who says you have to go through the charr camp?
