I got this problem too. Although i am not sure if its just me but every single time i opened my launcher, it keeps on updating and patching (Also not sure if it’s from ANet but).

First of all thank you for reading this, I know that there are a lot of builds and guides posted here already. I’m posting my build to seek for opinions, feedbacks, and constructive criticisms for improvements.

I have been playing my guardian since the very beginning of Guild Wars 2 and have been loving it. So much that i’m planning to build my 3rd one, lol. I started as a PvE player and now i’m pretty much a full time WvW player. I’ve also tried many builds before (AH, DPS, etc). As i have gathered materials for my Ascended armours, i thought, why don’t i try something new?

I’m a player who’s not really good with the maths of skills and status, so when i play in WvW i basically prioritize my team’s survivability. Take note that i am in a guild that is committed to WvW and mostly do zergs and havoc (sometimes). With this, i’m here asking for some opinions if this build is already enough on its own to bring my team and(or) zerg enough survivability to push the enemy zerg and not wipe.

Early morning time would mean night time around SEA time… so if i’m correct, it’s pretty much crowded. CD has a lot of SEA players so yeah!

He is also stacking aura. it can be done by switching weapons multiple times. However not all players can see the effects though…

My Charr’s name is Mothball Fluffpaw. The reason to that is because i have a stuffed kitten that has been with me for about 9 years and i’ve been so attached to it now. Why Mothball? cos my gf said she smelled like a mothball and therefore came the name. Fluffpaw because she’s fluffy!

First of all i would like to apologize if this thread has come up before. Secondly, i’d like to address a problem i’ve been having for the past three days on GW2; i’ve been trying to purchase gems on BL TP but as soon as i clicked the “buy gems” button, an empty brown box popped up. It usually shows options like how many gems you want etc.

I’d like to know if this is only happening to me or anyone else is experiencing this as well. Also, i’d like to know if this is some sort of an internet problem or a problem coming from GW2.

I’m a tech/computer noob so please bear with me with all the questions. Hopefully i can buy those gems soon because i really need to get those Transmutation Crystals!

Updated my gears and look! just bought Glacial Sky Dye. i’d like to think it’s worth the bunch of gold… lol.

Best PUG runs would be 80% of the times i ran CoF, HotW P1, and AC P1/3. Smooth. No wipes. No talking. Everyone knew exactly what to do, high dps, etc. However there was this one time where i PUG-ed Arah P3 with less dps than i wanted to but managed to get by perfectly fine, especially at Lupi.

Well it IS one of the many consequences of running with PUG. Although it sounds like to me that your term of justification might be a little off.

Of course i have had similar situations where once i suggested something and someone went apekitten on me. I didn’t like it, i felt like badmouthing back, and just report. Though somehow i felt i should be mature and be the ‘bigger person’ there, i just talked back as normally as i could. After that, somehow it still sucks and you still get that ‘wanting for justice’ feeling yes? I’d like to say maybe those two people hurt your ego too.

In this case, just let it go. It is a game, like it or not, there are immature people out there in this game. I’ve learned to just shrug it and think of it as a humour.

Count me in. I’m from Indonesia and i pretty much play around your time. I’ve been playing GW2 since December 2012, but started out WvW until recently (never really interested in WvW before) but now I get the gameplay and wanting to do more!

So just to be sure, it wasn’t because of the ranger wasn’t meleeing it right? It’s because of someone moved/dodged away from the Queen’s range? So annoying because this guild mate keeps insisting that its because we’re not 100% melee.

I’m relatively new to dungeons’ mechanics. Despite running AC for numerous of times already, knowing how to stack and all, i’m still not sure why we have to stack in a corner during Spider Queen. 98% of the time i run AC, everyone stacked tightly and one person would go out and pull the spiders and the Queen and we DPS em nicely.

Then few days ago when i ran with my guild mates, we wiped several times during the Queen. First, one person didn’t stack with us and made the Queen sprayed the poison AoE. Few tries later, one person said that its because there’s a ranger who’s ranging and when there’s one ranging whilst the rest are meleeing (and not because of the ranger was not stacking with us), it can cause the poison aoe. So he suggested to kill it inside the room, but of course, everyone else died and had to reset.

In the end we tested out this mate’s theory by telling the ranger to stay upstairs and not attacking while the rest stacked. And the Queen did not spray its poison aoe. What concerns me is that i’m pretty sure that i have had runs with rangers or people with range weapons and they were stacking tightly with us, yet the Queen never sprayed the poison.

So what caused the Queen to spray its poison aoe?

Thanks for the inputs fellas! I’m a bit reluctant on deleting the Bloodstone Dusts (or maybe i’m just a hoarder) cos it might be a good use when i’m crafting Ascended stuffs. However i do think having over than 1000+ Bloodstone Dust is redundant… so i guess i’m gonna destroy them.

Hello everyone!

I’m just wondering and would like to seek suggestions or opinions on how do you make your bank space more efficient. Rather than buying an extra slot, I’d like to know if I’m storing the ‘right’ things into my bank.

What are the things that I should or should not keep on my bank? I.e blueprints. I’m thinking to delete them since it took 4 boxes on my bank and since i’m not so into WvW. Other than that, i’ve stored all boosters, transmutation stones/crystal, and merchants/TP/bank access expresses.

Also, what do we do with Bloodstone Dust and Empyreal Fragments? (I’m still collecting the T6 stuffs for Ascended crafting) I wish collectibles can save up to a 1000, heh.

I tried creating a new login on my iMac and I was able to launch GW2 from there. I wish I knew more about the Mac so I could figure out why my main login got corrupted.

Might be a noob question but what does creating a new login means?

Hi Takatsu, would you be so kind and PM me that preference? I’m currently re-installing and re-patching everything and hoping it’d get back to normal again. What’s weird is that for the first patch of Tequatl, everything seemed fine. but the after the super recent patch, when not in a window mode, my screen was really dim and dark. And like everybody else in window mode, i just got black screen with moving cursor.

Tried the sticky guide but didn’t work for me

The TA set is always awesome, but I don’t feel like it matches metalish looks very well. Sylvari T3 can be dyed to some pretty cool colors, you may want to check it out

Thanks for the tip! i’m still looking for suitable dyes for the T3 gloves. somehow it’s tricky. and i noticed that it’s not on the same tone with the other armours (i.e Celestial dye applied to the gloves looked somehow brighter than the armours i’ve applied Celestial dye as well)

Attempted to screen shot with my girlfriend’s character, then tempted to photoshop it, and voila!! Looks like it was taken from a movie or something, haha.

Having my Mesmer to be my first level 80 alt, i feel like splurging my gold on him. I like it a lot, though i’m still experimenting with my colour scheme… but overall i’m pretty satisfied!

First of all I’d like to apologize if this is the wrong thread to post this. I’ve been playing GW2 for quite some time now, but fairly new to dungeons. Ever since mid June or early July I’ve gone through some dungeons (mainly Arah P3 and CoF P1/2) just because I found out about their armor skins. For quite a while I didn’t know the details about this game, i.e armor skins, jumping puzzles, pvps, etc. but then recently since I manage to have some free time to myself, I’d decided to play this game in depth, not just to max out the level of my characters. Also, I’ve been really determined to have those awesome Arah armor set that I’ve been doing nothing but Arah dungeons recently, lol.

But of course, I’d love to have fun too. Maybe this is just me, but whenever I do dungeons, it’s always nice to do it with people who don’t take things too seriously. However, it IS hard to find such PuG. Sometimes I get so lucky that the people are fun, experienced and are patient with me who is still pretty inexperienced. So this is what I’m suggesting;

I’m looking for a regular PuG group to go dungeons with me, who are willing to learn with me and have fun. You don’t necessarily HAVE to be experienced, everyone (and I mean, EVERYONE) and all classes are welcomed. I am not particularly looking for a guild cos I have one awesome guild already, but due to the major time differences, it’s pretty hard to do dungeons with my fellow guild mates. The time I’m online (which is GMT +7) is the time they go to bed, lol. So it’d be nice to have people to do with in around the same timezone, but it’s manageable I suppose.

I know there are some players out there who are willing or wanting to try dungeons but are too intimidated to look for PuGs. If anyone is interested, just message me here in the forum or in game. I’m always open to questions. So yeah, I’m hoping to be able to meet and play fellow dungeons enthusiasts!

First of all i’m sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this as my first intention is to look for a regular group, or at the least, a (really) small guild.

I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for about 6 months, but i’ve never really done dungeons before until recently. I’m also a noob in general, this might be my first time playing an online game, haha. So basically, up til now i’ve been levelling my main character (Guardian, 80) and just bluffin’ around with my alts just to try other professions. But nothing really tickle my fancy and i’m not sure why. I got the gist with the gameplay, equipments, etc. but what i’m really interested in learning is that; the Dungeons. So far i’ve done CM, CoF, AR and TA. And i’d like to know and explore more dungeons.

Therefore, i’m looking for a regular group that’s willing to do dungeons with me. I’m not looking for experienced players or Dungeon Masters cos i myself don’t wanna give other people too much trouble with my lack of experience. Just people who want to play or learn dungeons with me on a regular or daily basis. But it’ll also be nice if they’re willing to teach me a thing or two.

Some people might not want to have a ‘noob’ in their group, but it’s always good to say that you’ve never played dungeons before. For me, I used to state that I’m inexperience in dungeons on www.gw2lfg.com, just a heads up you know?

That being said, there are SOME people who take it easy and just run a dungeon for fun. Easiest would be joining a guild who normally does casual dungeon runs.
