Sounds interesting though I can think of a situation that might confuse some people. For example, if you don’t get the information from the young Seraph but later in Orr you see him again. This might confuse people who wrongly believe that these are 2 separate NPCs in different maps with the same name.
Well if you encounter him in Orr first and unlock his story there, it should indicate that there are more stories before this one that you can unlock.
And maybe the story NPCs should have more distinct names, to avoid confusion.
I would really like to see Tybalt Leftpaw story.
The idea is to add additional tab in the story journal containing stories of characters we meet along the way.
Since this game is missing the traditional quests and most NPC conversations are rather short, it would be nice to have some way to learn more about the world and the characters in it. (Wikipedia and random blog posts doesn’t really count)
Example: You are doing event in Queensdale helping a young seraph. Once the event is done you unlock entry in the Story Journal with the seraph name and information about him. (Plain old text)
Then along the way you might meet him again in Orr and by helping him with another event, you will unlock additional information for the entry you unlocked the first time. And little by little you can learn his story.
This way we can find more about the world and the characters, without expensive cutscenes. This can actually encourage people to seek events with the same NPC in different zones, trying to fill his story. And it should bring some more lore into the game.
Hammer:
- is too slow, the might is nice but maybe add some vulnerability on the second strike?
- increase the number of impacts to 3
- is way to random. It can be replaced with straight jump with leap finisher at the start and a blast finisher at the end.
- increase the block to 3s.
Gyros:
Don’t like them. Tried using them, but they are just useless. The toolbelt fields are the only good thing about them. Maybe replace the gyros with the toolbelt skills and increase the duration of the fields.
Function Gyro is just annoying. Most of the time missing the target, or dying before getting close to it.
Can we replace superspeed with quickness? This way we will be actually useful in parties.
Overall 3/10 it’s just not worth it.
P.S. Did we get the worst animations from all specs?
