Why do people think I’m poor geared 2578 power guardian longbow with a 83 percent critical chance hitting 26ks and 5-6 k for my base attacks in over 60 try’s with teams guess what vale guardians still not dead.

Let’s look at nearly every mmo out there raiding is what runs off the average player since new players must spend months and months getting geared to try to kill harder bosses to advance in game. Now we are seeing this in gw2 the same reason I left wow was lack of raiding group players you can’t depend on. Gw2 since heart of thorns attitude has changed it’s no longer fun to play with others. As I feared raiding plagues so many mmos with eliteism and then begans cursing in chat player arguments kicks destroyed friendships and so on it’s just a downward spiral. True a lot of these aren’t a nets fault but why antagonize these players to act in such a manner. I’ve always had issues with 10 man raid content since my normal online group of friends is 4-5 players picking up pugs always creates issues. Is this what the average players want in game though. raid content will be unreachable for new players so they will see as I saw in wow these set groups and guilds are created then no new players are accepted into them creating aurmour sand weapons that half the community can never get or have a chance at. getting. Gw2 has made a bed I’m not sure they want to sleep in they would have done far better to create 5 man content more challenging or make ascended aurmours easier to obtain for new players having over 1500 gold is required at this point just to began raiding. I’m all for challenging content but are they going about it the right way. You risk destroying the average player base let’s face it every player wants a chance at a legendary set should it only be able to those elite guilds and no one else. We have seen no new dungeons no new fractals no 2-5 man content at all in heart of thorns 90 percent of the pllayerbase does not have 10 people online to go . The main change has been a friendly mmo turning sour seemingly overnight . I just feel gw2 is taking a very dark turn.

I agree last night I was kicked for group saying lack of dps this really confuses me since I’m in top gear dragonhunter with a 83 percent critical chance and hitting between 23-26k constantly with my base attack hitting 5-6 k every shot. Honestly the raid timers will most likely be the reason I quit gw2. Other then a single trinket I could change from power toughness to power precision furiocity I really can’t get much stronger. At this point the timer is just horrible if a single kill reaches end phase players start kicking for dps lack. If timers are how a net wants to go that’s fine but there’s a lot of classes and builds that just plainly will not be accepted in raids for lack of dps. I will note out of the 50 or so try’s to kill vale guardian every single time I’ve reached final phase 5 the timer had under 1 minute remaining. A net is going to kill their raid content before it even begans with these timers did a net even test n see how hard it is for a group of 10 to do 22 million damage in. 8 minutes while dodging attacks heck no they didn’t. I agree I love hard content and challenging but I don’t believe it’s fair to throw classes that aren’t the highest dps class under the bus. Congratulations you spent hundreds of gold on gear for raiding wait dps to low kick it’s madness. If a net is going to keep timers then make them long enough most builds can play sure I can go power zerker thief and do more damage but I should not be forced to abandon classes I enjoy to be able to complete content.

I have no issues running a dps class i do most of the time anyways I just don’t like that raids have started off being for the dps only classes. I mean is arena net not intelligent enough to create survival bosses. This is why I got bored of cof warrior zerker only the game just is no fun spam hundred blades with only one or two classes pulling all the dps. I have yet to be in a group with ranger heals so I can’t say anything about that. I play mostly Elementalist or Guardian both are decent dps until the next nerf.

How can you think they are not useful. The longbow is the second highest dps in game behind the engineer along with the vault thief. And dps is what’s needed for vale guardian.

I agree every class has a 25 percent increase now since Mesmer got with cronomancer. Guardians should not be forced to give up our runes to replace them with travelers.

I agree I was quite upset we saw heart of thorns and fractals got nothing new. I mean why not make a new rata novus fractal a new sylvari fractal and possibly another. Fractal rewards need to be increased somewhat. Fractals have become my main content since my group only has 5-6 online at a time. A mini dragon boss fractal would be great full of dragon eggs mordemoth minions with a legendary champion dragon fight at end.

I thought it was quite a lack of thought to release a raid and not have a raid lfg added in game. Like how do you have a entire group of people and not one think were making a raid looking for group option. Perhaps it was a oversight and they were so focused on content they never thought about what should go along with it?

Overall I really enjoyed the fight difficulty. I ran with pugs unfortunetly my normal group never got online. From what I experienced on the fight it was great I do believe the mechanics and difficulty are great however the vale guardian has to much health. A 8 minute timer really limits the classes because so much dps is needed. Since the first 3 -5 minutes of the fight is running to the green circles dps lacks greatly during that time without condition engineers. I feel players shouldn’t be limited to only a pure dps class to complete something many classes will soon be kicked from raids because they don’t top the dps charts like the necromancer warrior and possibly others. So what was arena nets thinking in creating a boss with such a insane health pool on a low time limit. I’m not upset it’s difficult I love the boss for that and the challenge it’s the healthpool where most groups fail. The timer should be either extended to 10 or 12 minutes or health reduced on 8 minutes. But keep the difficulty and challenge the same. I think if a group can last 8 minutes with the vale guardian mechanics they should succeed.

Having problems in HoT maps

It seems ok running through the maps on my tempest. But a few areas have wrecked me the hardest was the quest I can’t heal at all on soloing 5 hard monsters on 14k health was incredibly difficult. A few other areas have slaughtered me such as the archers who leave that flame line on the ground I’m dead instantly. I am mostly in berserker gear though that’s likely to change very soon to toughness. Overall the tempest is great for events but solo is another story. Course I played a Revenant at launch and kept being destroyed so I hopped to ele and my survivability increased in some areas.

Game has a different feel.

Hot made gw2 just feel different. Standing at a hero point waiting 10-20 minutes for people to show to help me wasn’t fun. The game feels empty in 3 of the 4 new maps, Those of us who want map completion can’t solo. content which means to obtain legendarys we have no choice but to wait at every hero point. People now run by downed players instead of helping. The play together feel is gone. The personal story extremely difficult to play on a 14k health elementalist making me play a different class to survive. Overall the great feel gw2 had is gone just left a bad taste in my mouth. True some things I like the contents beautiful gliding is fun. Do you guys feel it’s become empty and less friendly also?

I fully expect bugs lag and patch fixes the first 72 hours. I will log on create my Revenant and play through Metrica Province. No gaming mmo has ever had a perfect launch. . The great news is we have had 3 test betas we have had plenty of test run. We will play when we can and expect delays. The angry players expecting perfection need to take a chill pill and relax. In the words of Anger Managment with Adam Sandler sing I feel pretty.

I think it’s great they should be challenging. When I look at someone in a old legendary I think either they bought it with real money or got incredibly lucky. I threw in over a period of months well over 800g in the mystic forge. I am not a lucky drop pve player. However these new ways of obtaining legendarys eliminates the luck factor and can’t be bought with real money which is fantastic. I have no problem setting a goal and going and earning my legendary. Now we can say he played a lot did the requirements and earned it that gets my respect.

Hey all I was wondering how will the first few weeks revenant is out how leveling will be impacted. Will A net put a cap for the first week to keep players from instantly hitting 80 tombs of knowledge? Will tombs be available on day 1?

Dps has it’s place but in a raid glass cannons will drop to the ground first. This won’t be like wow. Balance is what will be needed. Raids are not a citadel of flame speed run. If you are so concerned then create your own raid group. As we have already seen in gw2 the overpowered builds will change. It really depends on so many different factors example take a fast moving boss greatsword builds will suffer and casters and rangers will excel. Then that boss might be immune to burning but weak to bleeds. There’s just to many factors to calculate. True players by time they do raids should know there class well enough to survive. But turning raids into a speed warrior only citadel of flame run with everyone playing the same boring build honestly was not much fun. A raid calculator would kill the very thing that makes gw2 different and more gun from other mmos,

How is revenant dps?

I was quite pleased with the Revs dps. It’s easily middle of the pack. My main is a thief but with the huge nerf to thief I most likely will play rev. The evasiveness of the rev was great on the legendary boss fights in beta. The huge weak point I noticed in the rev was lack of range which the thief has in the shortbow. But in a lot of hard fractal and raid bosses having a lack of ranged ability could drastically hurt the rev class on some fights. Course it will excel in some boss fights. Overall I have enjoyed the class while playing it in the beta.
