Would be cool if you had kits like in Final Fantasy 3/6 (what ever you want to call it) where you had the “Drill” or the “Chainsaw”, “Auto Crossbow”, “Bio Blaster” (sort of like the elixir gun skill 3) or “Noise Blaster” that confuses enemies.
It clicked for me when I got the flamethrower and the elixir gun. 30 Skill points in Fire Arms for “Juggernaut” getting 7 stacks of might + 200 toughness just for having it out + any runes that build might or crit chance, i basically double my damage. Skill 1 was doing around 400 or so and now it’s cranking out 800+ per stream, and the 2nd slot skill explodes for pretty nice damage, was doing 700+ now it’s doing 1400+ when it esplodes. I’m lvl 66 by the way, and I don’t have the greatest gear, just some karma rewards from vendors or green drops from random stuff. PvE mostly.
Only thing I hate about engi is the fact you can’t equip 2 sets of weapons (rifle/pistol). I know we have like 100 kits to use, but if i don’t feel like using a kit i have 1 weapon to choose from.. If I could swap between rifle and pistols it would make life so much easier. So for that reason I’m spec’d for flamethrower.
Targeting/attacking on the flamethrower should work like the rifle/pistol. If 2 pvp engineers are strafing around one another (in range of the flamethrower), 1 with a rifle/pistol and 1 with flamethrower, the guy with the pistol is going to have a 100% hit rate (assuming there is no dodging or avoidance gear) and the guy with the flamethrower will hit WAY less often. When “locked” on to an enemy it should hit if the flame is right on top of them but it doesn’t always work. Don’t know how many times I’ve been killed by circle strafing when I’m out of dodge/endurance using the flamethrower. At least in PvE I circle strafe because the mobs have a hard time landing hits that way.
I have a character named “Scrotal Necrosis”, I don’t recommend you google image that term… unless you want nightmares.
The only thing I hate about engi is the fact that, yeah we have utility skills, BUT none of them have a default auto attack. The bombs and grenades i understand, but the elixir gun once I switch to it i have to immediately start pressing the 1 key if i decide to use that kit to PvE. If the devs see this they need to make the elixir gun #1 attack default to auto attack. Because even if I set it to auto attack sometimes I accidentally switch kits and then switch back and I have to stop and re-enable the auto attack. LAME.
The engi skills with rifle is fine with me. I LOVE the overload shot and blunderbuss. I don’t really use netshot unless I need a couple of seconds for endurance to fill up. Oh, and Jumpshot is pretty boss as well. Warriors don’t have it
