It’s a joke, saying they ‘already are’ linking to a forum with hundreds if people complaining about the client? Makes sense. Never did I once say I expected great things, I understand twitter and its concept, and, my language skills are fine, considering I’m an English major.
TIP: Stop trying to be clever fanboy.
Yeah I thought that too but didn’t actually want to believe that they wouldn’t know what one was. Really restores faith……….
As you can see I did reply but must have stumped their vast intelligence on the matter. What a feat!!
This was then reply when I questioned if they can make us a native client.. Confused face…
If we can’t get proper support and updates in the current client to make it bearable, of course id love to see a native client. However if the support was better id wouldn’t be necessary.
THe game is “ported” poorly for the mac. That’s it. No need discuss any errors/glitches until the mods resurrect this forum. Just look at the last updates. October. Thats 3 month back.
I haven’t actually heard of this issue from anyone else though? Not to this extent anyway, i’ve even tried running the game on the lowest possible settings and i still get the same result. It’s such a pain in the backside swapping from bootcamp. I have the entire bootcamp setup just for GW2. It’s so pointless.
Edit: I’ve just tried playing the exact same client on my girlfriends MacBook Pro 2012 and it’s an improvement on mine. Strange seeing as though her laptop doesn’t boast specs as good as, never mind better than my iMac.

I Absolutely love playing Guild Wars 2, I play on a Mid 2011 21.5-Inch iMac, 2.5Ghz Core i5, 8GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512MB.
I originally played the game on bootcamp and it ran perfectly on medium-high settings (40-50 FPS with zero latency) However constantly starting up bootcamp solely to play GW2 became a bit of a burden, especially when only wanting to jump in for a few hours or so.
I took the plunge after loads of research and decided that i’d rather lower the graphics a bit and use the Mac Client rather than constantly jump in and out of bootcamp.. well, it hasn’t gone well.
I lowered the graphics to low-medium and got a decent 35-45 fps but, get this awful jerkiness when my character walks anywhere, its almost a type of lag but it really isn’t bearable, especially after the smoothness of playing in bootcamp. I also get this horrible world map lag.
Is there anyone else with a similar problem? OR even better can someone resurrect this?
p.s I have played GW2 on the mac client previously (i put it on for a fews days when i first bought the game) and had no such problem.
