My exact build. currently using MF stuff for farming so it might seem a bit off, but this is the best in terms of a good offensive build i can think of for GS.

For WvW, this works,but remember that GS doesn’t give much CC and you’d only really be able to shine in smaller clashes.

As for spirit weapon burning, its not so much you burning the life out of targets, its applying the conditions and making use of your traits that deal effects on top of it (like +10% damage on burning foes). I seriously hope you didn’t think that the spirit weapons are a summon > forget > free kill build, because its so not.

And no, of course I didn’t think the spirit weapons were a free kill build. I know you have to micro them, and I thought the burning damage they inflicted together with mine was going to deal a lot of damage.

yeah I’m confused as well. I’ve read that condition damage is really good.. but this says otherwise…

I feel a bit lost atm. I’d like to find a good Greatsword build, and an armor set to go with it, suited for mainly WvW, but I’d like to be able to do some dungeons as well. Any suggestions? =)

so condition damage for guardians are really a waste? even with spectral weapons dealing burning damage? If that’s the case I’ve gone for a fail build and need to start from scratch

So i’ve just hit level 80 with my guardian. I’ve leveled up doing a lot of WvW, using Greatsword and scepter/shield. I saw a build for spectral weapons and I’ve been using that. Don’t know the tratis in my head, but I’ve got 50% longer duration time, they do burning damage, I can use them without them braking etc.

First of all, is this build any good? I’ll probably do mostly WvW but I want to be able to do dungeons as well.

But my main question is, what armor set should I go for? Spectral weapons are mostly condition damage, yes or no? If so, I should stack con.damage. But what other stats? vit? toughness? power? etc.

And I’d appreciate if you guys would recommend other good builds and what armor sets goes with them.
