I have no clue where this would be reported, but I hope that someone does. People who do that are even worse than the straight-out AFKers, and I wonder why they bother wasting their own time just as much as ours.

Hope you get some justice.

Stacking has ruined player skill levels

If it weren’t for ANet’s complete lacking of caring about stacking on bosses, I would almost call most of this stacking an exploit. Boss mechanics are in the game for a reason, and I’m disappointed that nothing has been done to enforce that. Dungeons are getting pathetically easy and are a nothing but a 2-second means to an end. It’s bred an exceptionally annoying brand of elitist players who think that stacking that boss in full zerker gear is the only way to play the game, and if you disagree you’re an idiot and don’t belong in their dungeon. My problems are, as follows:

1. It makes it go faster, and being ‘ranged’ is just as easy. First off, no. If ranged was just as easy as stacking, everyone would be ranged instead of stacking. Second, does it make sense to you people that you should all stand on top of a boss and that means you don’t have to do anything else all fight except hit your same three buttons over and over? I don’t care if it makes your life easier. Exploiting a bug to dupe legendaries would make this game easier too. Would you do it?

2. “If you don’t want stacking, write no stacking” is the weakest and most common response I have seen on this board. Most people don’t post this tag in their LFG title. Spoiler alert, the LFG text box is only so big and it’s a freaking waste of time to try and make an acronym for every little tag out there. BZ, EXP, SPD, ST is just getting ridiculous.

3. It is indeed breeding a less intelligent flavor of player. The weeaboos of the world are running around with Dungeon titles to compliment their fuzzy animal hats, then stacking in every poison / fire red circle known to man because WHATS A MECHANIC? Y DID THAT FIRE KILL ME? Yes, you might think it’s making your dungeons faster, but those are the same idiots making you fail every non-TTS teq in the fecking game.

tl;dr – Don’t actually care about any of the above, because ANet certainly doesn’t. Continue doing your daily dungeons by stacking together because then you can get done doing them faster… so you can do more. Don’t go play any other MMO, because people will laugh at you the minute you QQ that you can’t kill a boss in less than 20 seconds. Bosses are challenging in the big scary world out there.

I think a lot of this restlessness is coming from the inevitable downside of living story: It happens and then it’s gone. I’ve had many a-friend get turned off by this game based off that simple fact. It’s hard to dedicate your time to a game that basically erases its own content after they deem it ‘done’.

New players to this game aren’t going to understand what’s going on at all when people say “Scarlet destroyed Lion’s Arch!”. Instead, they’re going to wonder why everyone cares so much about LA because it’s just a hunk of rubble. They’re not going to understand so many things about this game because they’ll never get to see them. What they’re going to see is a million freaking skins that they can no longer obtain and a few thousand achievement points they have no hope of ever getting.

I like that living story awards people for constant game dedication, but it’s extremely frustrating to take a month away from the game and come back to find you missed some major world events and suddenly nothing new is going on anymore. It makes achievement points worthless, your new fuzzy animal hat worthless (there will be three more next week), and the story itself worthless.

In my opinion, we need something permanent added to the game. Right now people are running in circles doing daily crafting, running dungeons (to salvage that gear), and doing champion / world boss trains every day. While it’s nice and well to say “Wait until China release” the big question in everyone’s hearts is – “Then what?” and that’s what people want answered.

You can only do so much until you miss a week of game play only to discover you missed the key part of living story. You’ll never see it, and the people who spend their parents’ money to fuel their fuzzy hat addiction are once again 6,000 achievement points ahead of you with those skins you can’t get now.

Also, the Frostgorge Sound train would like to note we demand an AUS zone. Preferably one with Risen Kangaroos. We’ll even add in a gem store idea: Didgeridoos. Thank you.
