Guild Name is official! Needs a Guild is now recruiting! All new players and we are having a blast.
What is up Big Z here. My friends and I are looking to form a guild made up entirely new players. Our goal is to be able to experience Tyria and all it’s glory without being rush thru content by players who have done it a hundred times and just wanna get thru it. For us things like this ruin the joy and excitement of clearing a dungeon for the first time or learning a new craft, observing the beauty of the game as a group as we try to earn zone completions and jump puzzle’s and much more. To us the best part of the game is easily over shadowed by players who have spent so much time in game they take for granted the beauty that is before them. So I ask those of us who a newer to the game, who want to experience their class without being forced into a build, or being told how to play their character and enjoy the learning curve of the game. Would you all like to build a guild together? If we get enough ppl we can discuss a guild name and a world to roll on. Newbies Unite!

Personally I had a hard tome at first aswell but once I started gettin trait points I dound that duelest spec with greatsword and sword/pistol combo really works. I open with leap then my phantasm duelest and a blurred frenzy and they are usually dead, if not I can shatter to finish them off. My crit runs about 60% so blurred frenzy hits like a truck. If the mob is real strong I swith to greatsord and summon my other phantasm both are traited for fury(20% crit chance) plus when they crit they bleed the target. This keeps me up front in combat and seems to do well

As a mesmer if I get hit….its pretty much over. But wouldn’t say its cause everyone is op or unbalanced. Its because that is a profession weakness. If I play my toon right then I should avoid big hits like 1k blades by using abilities that grant distortion. That is how my class is played. If ur gettingkittenby melee maybe trying to use mobility and environment to stay as far away as you can
I personally haven’t had a single crash. Only a few server disconnects.

As a mesmer who uses sword and pistol i run this spec with it and the bonus from phantasmal healing grouped with illusionary membrane and i can keep it up quite a bit since my duelist is only on an 8 second cooldown
I have personally been running greatsword and sword/pistol combo with traits to beef up my phantasms. I love it. My sword phantasm has only 8 second cooldown and does crazy dmg with fury and bleed effects.
