I grew up on GW1 and loved the game to death, played this one quite a bit and just got back into it. It seems like all of my buddies that used to play are now gone and I’d like to make a friend playing 1-80 casually with someone. :P
I’d be willing to pick the same race, so we can do the same story quests. I’m on every evening for the most part for ~4 hours or so. I’ve spent the vast majority of the game in WvW and s/tPVP, but I would not mind focusing on PvE either. Hit me up!

Any one else seem to be getting this since the last patch? I used to be able to clear 30 badges or so in a couple hours of playing, but now I’m lucky to get half of that. The ONLY thing that seems to be dropping badges now is tower lords and I only get 1 from that.
I really hope that Anet didn’t just nerf the drop rate without telling us anything about it beforehand, it’s grindy as is – I don’t need another full time job…
Can anyone provide some kind of clarification?
Thanks ^^
This is something that I randomly thought of -
Take Dervish and Ritualist from GW1 and merge them into one class
They would have…
- Heavy Armor
- Scythe and possibly Spear (as two whole new weapons)
- Access to Staff, Sword, Focus, Scepter
This “Dervish/Ritualist” hybrid would be able to…
1) Summon Spirits, but rather than Spirits – Avatars of the Gods
(Synergizes with Staff/Scepter/Focus)
2) Take on a manifestation of the Avatar of the Gods
(with each having their own unique weapon kit or just replacing the #2 or #3 skills)
(Synergizes with Sword/Staff/Scythe)
3) Pray to the Gods, with each God giving different Enchantments
(Different from Buffs entirely; for example, Pray to Balthazar and become infused with his power – dealing heavy fire aoe for the next 5 attacks) or (Pray to Lyssa and become infused with her power – causing the next 5 attacks to deal flat damage and inflict a random condition along with 1 stack of confusion per 3 seconds on each hit)
I could go on and on, but I want to hear the communities feedback! I believe that a class such as this could have a ton of diversity and potential.
It dulls in comparison to GW1’s RA’s.
1) No sense of progression (can’t even get exp to level up my character while doing spvp)
2) Capture and hold is boring (encourages bunker builds)
3) No build diversity
I love WvW and would like to see siege (to some degree) be used in small/medium scale GvG or GvGvG battles on maps. As far as these battles go, a guild should be able to enter a preset map and declare a keep as their own and slowly expand outwards, capturing towers, supply camps, and sentries. (Basically a smaller scale emphasis with less zerg-yness).
A reward system for these guilds that participate and do well would seal the deal, something like “Guild Renown” could be used to buy things to “decorate” or customize the look of your Guild’s Keep and even unlock unique skins or vendors/npc’s in your Guild’s Hub.
I realize that this is basically WvW and that Guilds can claim locations for their server, but I think that this would add a very neat twist to the game.
What other ideas do you guys have?
