The elder dragons have shown that they can be very subtle and crafty when need be why would he want them calling attention to him when he can just make them act up and think it is their own choice made of their free will.
Also you have to admit seeing how some good sylvari in the story changed it was like someone reached into their minds and screwed it up total flip of personality I found it odd.

Long time lurker first time poster here my first toon I made and main is a Sylvari ever since the beginning I always wondered about that Nightmare Court but now with this revelation of Mordremoth being our daddy.
The Nightmare Court makes much more sense now how Sylvari just change personality like a switch and acting really brainwashed when joining it was him influencing individuals that were susceptible to him.
