I’m in the same boat, tryed hot for a while, forcing me to grind and play, but in the end, i dont want another wow clone and left it 1 month after the xpac release and i could never play it again, even tho i launch it weekly to see my toons.

I’m not a casual player, but their hardcore content idea is not very good and i think they should go back to their fun philosophy that made this game great.

OP said everything i wanted to, but didnt know how to articulate, HoT is a mess, it tries to cater to hardcore public but does a very bad job at it, Ive always enjoyed gw2 because of it’s casual nature now i feel like i need to grind hundreds of stuff instead of just playing for fun like it used to be before this forsaken xpac, i really hope anet drops this e-sport and SPECIALLY the idea of hardcore pve content that brought a ton of elitism and grind to the game once advertised to be casual and just for fun.

Most of my friends, and my active since release guild are gone, the pvpers went to mobas because the pvp league is a joke(even tho they were always online pvping before hot) and the pvers went back to wow. I really hope anet can go back to pre-hot ideology at some point.

I stopped playing too, and lurk the forums every now and then hoping they go back to what made this game great some day.

I also dont understand, for the first time we have build diversity, and they`re already nerfing it, guess they want the old meta to stay.

Two days ago, i solo queued with my poor dolyak rank noobness, and when i realized i was against a streamer that plays the game since release with his 3 dragon rank buddies(i was watching him at the time.)

Things like this makes me want to never go back to HOTM.

I still think he installed some bad exe or some keylogger cause he said on streams hackers had his email too.

He said that on stream while he got hacked i was watching.

That was pretty weird, support changing his account email to a spamy one after he got his acc back, and of course after support changed the email and he got DC and lost the acc.

Grind for non essencial items is the reason i play this game everyday. Remove the grind and i wont want to login anymore, i LIKE to grind.

tl;dr: do what the image tells you.

This only happens in dungeons, dungeons are like a minor part of the game, every other part of the game you’re required to theorycraft and test combinations to achieve best results, wvw, pvp, world bosses, im getting tired of having this same thread every 3 days here.
