I believe that the downed state is toxic to pvp specifically as a whole. Not a lot of people enjoy the aspect of killing someone and having them not actually be dead. This scenario is the least fun you can possibly have in pvp. When one person kills another player by out skilling them, then the downed player downs the other player. Now both players are laying on the ground downed and throwing spells at each other. What is even more annoying is when you killed that person first, but they downed you and then did more damage while downed than you did and are now upped and got the kill, even though you out skilled them and downed them first. You should be the victor, not the person who is downed first.
When you kill someone, they should be dead. Going through a second health bar and new state of fighting is just annoying. Imagine adding downstate to every single pvp game. People would be kittened. A poll should be given to every active player of if downed state should stay or be removed from pvp specifically. There is no problem with it being in pve, it is actually helpful and doesn’t bother the mobs obviously.
2v2 and 3v3 + arenas should be implemented with killing being the objective. With no downed state and you only have one life. Dueling should also be added. As well as inspecting other people’s cool gear.
