Guild Wars 2

The Digital Deluxe Upgrade available in the Gem Store is still full price, despite buying the game new is 75% off. I’ve noticed this as a trend with the recent sales for Guild Wars 2, purchasing new is on sale, while upgrading to the deluxe edition is not. Why is this? I prepurchased this game, and back then I didn’t have extra money to warrant spending on a digital deluxe edition. I’ve waited and waited for the upgrade to go on sale, to no avail, despite the option of a full new game repeatedly going on 50% sales and on 75% off. I love that the game is going on sale, don’t get me wrong, I just bought 3 extra copies of the game for my brothers and dad, but now I’m the only one without the deluxe edition. Considering I’m the one who started out with the game, that leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

So, my question is: ANet, why do you list new game accounts for sale but never, or very seldom, put the digital deluxe upgrade for sale? I’d buy the upgrade in a heart beat if it was 50-75% off, just like I did with my now 3 new accounts.
