Guild Wars 2

I’m unable to see any guild chat, even though I have several tabs now with only guild chat ticked. This has been going on for just over 1 week and I have tried relogging, uninstalling and reinstalling and leaving and rejoining the guild, all of which have been suggested in previous posts with similar issues however, I am still unable to see any chat. I am still able to type into chat and other guild members can see my messages but I can’t see any of theirs. My guild tab appears completely empty, no daily message or anything. Any suggestions as what to do next?

Am trying to get the Brisban Liberator trophy for the Sunrise 1 collection and need to complete either ‘Kill nightmare spellbinders before skritt are enslaved at Joy’s End’ or ‘Rescue kidnapped skritt from the Nightmare Court’. I waited for over an hour for the former event but then spoke to the NPC skritts, Lakoon’ta and Squrlookal and the dialogue from both was along the lines of ‘Our friends have been taken by bad leaf men etc’.

At Joy’s End I found the skritt in cages but no jailers, no event and no way to free them. Have waited for a while to see if the event resets, was wondering if this was a bug or am I missing something?
