I grow tired every time a nerf comes in not because it’s needed, but because it’s OP in PVP.
We all understand that some abilities are good PvE wise but maybe a bit overpowered should you use them in PvP. So, why not split skills. Make skill X do this for PvP and reduce/increase whatever needed for PvE. If they offer us PvE and PvP, why not make it so that you could swap between a PvP and PvE build. It would be for the better, it would be a total different experience rather than creating a build viable for both. They can even make it X silver every time you swap from PvP to PvE or vice versa.
I’m not saying there should only be PvP or PvE, just an option for the player. There’s another big MMO out there basing their ‘balance’ on PvP, it ruins their game.

Anything cosmetic will be liked and disliked by people, as its our nature to have an opinion and like what we like. You can’t really make 1 item that would make everyone happy. That staff would be perfect for my Mesmer, so it goes both ways I guess….
So, make it available with two options..
The dye system is great. One can distinguish himself/herself with just another color. As for weapons. Anet definitely did not want them to shine, let alone give us the opportunity to tweak it to our own preferences..
For the love of all that is good in the land, plz shut up vendors!

How about being a weaponsmith. The sound of metal over and over and over, and over again. Not that sound you hear when you actually craft. It’s an ambient sound you hear when you stand at a WS crafting station. Kind of annoying to turn off the sound every time you craft. Glad I’m maxed out now.
“I only sell the highest quality goods.”
I’m a 400 leatherworker and weaponsmith. Playing as a thief, being a leatherworker came in handy whilst leveling up (I started weaponsmith later on, but one would benefit from every craft whilst leveling up). So now you just hit level 80 on your toon and 400 with w/e craft. Your craft is still amazing, you can buy a recipe (with karma) and craft the best (exotic) gear/weapons. The only thing you need is gold for mats, but that’s farmable in case you don’t have it.
There are two pros so far. One of them would be: when you are leveling your toon, a craft sure is nice to have if it’s up to date. The other one: once you hit max level with both your toon and your craft, you have the possibility to own the best exotic gear or/and weapons. Same goes for jewelry, but let’s skip that one since they are not obtainable through dungeons and more importantly, you can’t see them on your toon anyway.
Now you did some dungeons and you acquired some exotics. Even your toon says ‘nice gear’ when you purchase them in Lions Arch. Nothing wrong here, maybe you want another set of gear/weapons with different stats. Don’t forget you can craft your same exotic but with different stats! Oh wait, it looks exactly the same as the one you crafted first…
Yes, dungeon gear/weapons of the same dungeon also look the same and are available with different stats. However, we can choose which dungeon to farm. However, we can only make one type of armor with our amazing level 400 craft in which we put lots of hours and gold.
So here is a thought, why not give someone who maxed out his craft something special. It does not have to be big and certainly not something like better stats. I’m talking about something aesthetically. Let them be able to add a glow to a weapon, or being able to dye one more different area on gear. Because seriously, who’s proud of having his craft maxed out? It’s just another ‘oh, I did it because I need it for my legendary’ thing. We don’t want that right?
Just to make sure, there is no need for better stats when you maxed out craft X. I’ve played MMO’s where they would give you a slight advantage over someone who didn’t have it (the other person might have had another craft maxed out which came with a differnt advantage over you, to ‘balance’ things out). That does not work, it ruined crafting. People crafted only to have +2 of stat X more for example. I do think we need a purpose to max out a craft other then it being a necessity for a greater goal (legendary).
I do love the dye system. One of the best things this game offers. Maybe they can make it even better through crafts…

What if I change my Berserker's Gear for Power>Toughness>Vitality Gear?

I am one of those no vitality/toughness Thieves. I started out with them. Then I realized “I don’t need” the 5K larger healthpool or the xx% damage take reduction. My build and weapon choice allow me to get out the way if needed. I run all dungeons explorable mode. I don’t die when taking two hits. Sad thing someone said so, maybe to make his own story look better, I don’t know.
It all comes down to personal preference. Vitality and Toughness can be useful indeed, you should try them out both. I won’t say it’s bad because I’m biased towards my own build.
